Ask a Question
How many enclosures in your invitation

I'm on a roll this month. I'm designing my own invitation suite so I'm giving my self plenty of time. So i'm planning it out now.

So here's my question how many enclosures should you have, or are to many to have?

I see most with 3 but as I plan it out I think I need 4
- Reception
-Directions
-Accommodation
-Response

Is this to much? which can I combine?

My reception and ceremony are in the same place, but I want to indicate some where that it is an elegant adult only reception (yes I'm trying to give a little clue on the attire with out just saying it) Can I squeeze that somewhere on the the response card.

Or can I put the directions on the same card as the reception info, or will it confuse people not to have a separate directions to the ceremony.

Although not many will use the accommodations this is important to me because some of the top people are the ones coming out of town, so I didn't want to leave that out.

So what do you guys think? If i can cut down from 4 piece it would be a good money saver too so i'm open to all options. Please HElp

you can put the directions on the back of the reception or accomodation.

I agree with ladydamm, we made a really pretty design that looked like a victorian frame around our accomodation info, and then we double sided printed it with the directions on the back. The reception card was a lot more formal. But accomodations and directions don't matter quite as much.

ps. we printed out the directions and accomodations ourselves to save money, we picked a heavier type of paper in an ivory color. It blended well and saved a bunch!

I agree, go ahead and print the directions on the back of your reception cards.

We didn't include accommodation info with our invites. Instead we made sure our wedding website was on the response cards (so they can RSVP there as well) because I will be making a page on our website just for accommodations (hotels, directions, etc).

You can put directions and accommodations on the same card if you wish

Also if your ceremony and reception are at the place it is Not needed to have a reception card (this is only used when the reception is at a different venue or time) so simply put
"Elegant Adult Reception to follow" on the bottom right side or center of the invitation

I had 2 enclosures. 1 was RSVP. The second was combined accommodations (front) and directions (back). I put the reception information on the bottom of the invitation. You can usually sum it up in one line.
