This is kittlesdesigns's Pink Wedding!

I know I want a birdcage veil but I am having a hard time deciding which style I like. A little help would be greatly appreciated! My hair is above my shoulders so I really want something that will hold in short hair and I bought cute little fuschia flower barrettes to wear with the veil. I just know I need to order a veil soon considering we only have 49days to go!

Originally we had picked out a dress from David's Bridal but recently my MOH's hubby just lost his job so I found an adorable dress at Old Navy Maternity for only $24.50! Score!

What do you ladies think?

I ordered our wedding cake from Publix today. This is what it will look like but the icing will be a brighter pink and green. It's going to be completely done in fondant. I don't see why everyone says that fondant doesn't taste good... I thought it tasted good. The only thing we can't decide on is what kind of filling to put in it. I suggested Key Lime but the baker said that if I did that my cake would have to be refrigerated until it was cut which is obviously what I don't want... I want my cake to be on display especially since its $350! The only problem is that we are having an outside reception so I'm going to have to figure out how to keep it from not melting. Any ideas ladies? Or any ideas on what filling to put in it?

My hubby and I are still in search of wedding rings. As we have been looking for them he came up with the idea to exchange ring pops first and then the actual ring. I thought it was a fun and cute idea! I'm just not sure how we would go about it though. I don't want it to be tacky but I think it would completely go with our wedding.

Our whole theme is based around candy and we want our wedding to be fun and whimsical.

Any ideas on how we could pull this off?

Originally my grandmother's sister was going to do the photography for the wedding. That was until she told me that she wasn't going to be able to make it to the wedding. So I freaked out a little! I mean we don't have much time until our wedding! Not to mention she was going to do it for free!

It just so happened that I ran into a mom friend of mine while I was getting the kid's christmas pix done and she said she would be happy to do the photography for my wedding! Yay! Because I'm a friend she's giving me a discount and will do all the photography for only $450! She said she will photograph all events leading up to the wedding and then the ceremony & reception. The best part is that I can have EVERY picture that she takes!

I'm so happy!

I had an apointment set for last week but of course my mother cancelled! The flowers are the only thing she said she would pay for and now I don't think she is even going to pay for them! She gets half of everything but she keeps making excuses on why we can't make the apointment and what not....

Should I just go ahead and start making my own bouquets? I can't afford real flowers so I'd have to do fake ones but I don't want to wait around to find out if she is actually going to pay for them or not! She keeps saying oh we have plenty of time...

There is only 3 months to my wedding! The last thing I want is to be stressed out putting flowers together last minute!

How many of u have used fake flowers? Where are the best places to go? I don't want them to look cheap.

I swear my mother is the only stressful thing in my wedding!

My bff & MOH set the date for my bridal shower for January 25th! We registered at Target the only natural place to register considering the Target shopaholic I am! lol

I am sooo excited and it seems like everything keeps getting closer and closer! I feel lucky to have my bff & her mom to plan my bridal shower considering my mother didn't think I should have one.

Technically my hubby and I are already married but just now having our wedding. We already live together and we have two kids so my mom thinks its rude that I made a registry. What do you think? Everything we have has been handed down to us so thats why I made a registry anyways not to mention we do still need a lot of things. Considering we are young with two kids we need all the help we can get.

Then again my mother seems to be jealous that I am having a wedding at all! She's already had 4! You would think she would let me have my one day! Ugh... but thats a whole other blog...

I set up my apointment with my florist for November 5th! (same day as my MOH's bday!) I'm excited and happy to get one thing out of the way. I plan on using Gerbera daisys for everything. It shouldn't be too big of a problem considering I'm not going to need a ton of flowers and my mom works there so we get everything half off!

OH and I also set my alterations apointment for my dress... It's December 11th. I'm just having a ribbon replaced and it taken in a little up top so it shouldn't take too long to have it done and hopefully it won't cost me a ton!

So I am new to the blogging community but I have noticed that on some of the other blogs you ladies have fun and adorable backgrounds on your page!

How can I get a new background?

Instead of doing table numbers I am going to name each table after my favorite love story type movie (ex: The Notebook & Sweet Home Alabama). On each place card will be our guest's name as well as a quote from that movie. What do you think?

We are also going to use 5" glass bowls filled with gumballs (some pink & white while others will be green & white) and I'm going to glue pink with green polka dot ribbon around each bowl. I am unsure how to label the table with the picture of each movie though...

We are going to have the swirly lollipops as our escort "cards" and each one will have our guest's name on it as well as which movie table to go to.

So I am only going to have a MOH and no other bridesmaids. My one and only bestest :) We found her dress the same time we found mine from David's Bridal. She's trying to conceive so we needed something flowy that will work if she's preggo or not. I think this is the one. I also found the cutest heels to go with it but if she's preggo then I don't mind if she wears the flip flops. What do you think?

Either way I am getting her the green flip flops for the reception and myself the same ones but in hot pink.

I am such a dope! I made my own invitations as well as the RSVP postcards. I double checked them and had my hubby check them and I still made mistakes! They say our wedding is on Sunday when it is really on Saturday but at least the date is right! I also put to RSVP by February 2008 instead of 2009... needless to say that date has come and gone...

The good thing is its just family and friends so they didn't see it as a big deal... I just feel like a retard lol

So I got my wedding dress and my hot pink shoes all in the same day! Unfortunately it's about the only thing I've got sooo far! I really need to get on the ball... only 3months to our wedding! Ahhh!

Anyways here's my cute lil tealength dress from David's Bridal. I am having the top ribbons taken out and hot pink ones put in!

I really want a tulle or crinoline slip to go underneath in hot pink. Is this possible? Would it look funny considering I'm wearing a tea length dress.

I also think I am going to need to order a cage veil considering not too many vendors in my area carry them. It is def what I want tho. I tried on regular veils and felt completely overwhelmed.

I am also considering cute little short gloves... We'll see how they look at my next alterations apointment.
