Chair SWAG....when you don't use covers!
Here is my chair swag. My chairs at the reception hall are really plain, but are grey backed so they might look okay with the chair swag over them.
I'm unsure if I want to put them on EVERY single chair, or leave them off the KIDS TABLE (more like, TEEN TABLE) I prob will. I made the flowers. I glued a piece of construction paper to floral wire, then hot glued the flowers onto that....just to give it some reinforcement. The card box, my fiancée gave me the idea. I was trying to paint boxes orange but it just wasn't working and he didn't think the boxes I chose would be big enough. This is actually the box i got from Lightinthebox.com with my flower girl dresses in it. This floral print was actually on the INSIDE of the box and I turned it inside out and voila, a pretty country garden box fit for wedding cards! Anyways, DIY, simplicity! |

Wedding Reception
Things are Coming Together
I've been away for a while. I really didn't have anything really exciting or important to post. I can hardly believe that things are coming together, that everything is actually getting completed!
I've come to the conclusion that the wedding's THEME is pretty much "Country Garden". It'll be a simple, laid back wedding and I am now getting excited the closer we get to the Month of June. We've haven't had too many snags along the way, and people are being very generous and helpful and I am so thankful for that. My parents have volunteered finally to help pay for part of the food, and that's a weight off my shoulders. The tuxes have been ordered and picked out. My Fiance' settled on a western style, which really goes with the whole FLOW of things, and I'm happy he likes them. He didn't want ORANGE anything, except for the Bout's so we are going with IVORY for him. The bridesmaids dresses will hopefully be in, in May and be altered then too. I'm taking my daughters dress in on Sat to get her dress fitted. I'm so excited and can't wait! I've completed my simple, CARD BOX which I will post photos and info in a different post, and have done a mock up of the chair swag. I hope everyone is enjoying their wedding planning and I can't wait to look into everyone's blogs! ;) |

HIGHLY RECOMMEND LIGHT IN THE BOX!!!!
I truly recommend light in the box for you flower girl dresses. I recieved mine today in the mail. I ordered them at the end of January and got them today, so they were fairly quick.
And I can say the quality is AMAZING! I got floor length dresses with Ivory and Orange. The orange I had to wing it with the color, not really knowing what kind of orange I'd get, the color is PERFECT. The workmanship is excellent and I can say they are even BETTER than any of those dresses you'd buy a the wedding salon. Gorgeous, and I could not be happier. My gowns have crinoline under the skirts, they are thick, and the detail is great. So if you guys are worried, don't be. they are perfect! Even come in a pretty lined box! lol Very professorial looking too. The sizes I would say are fairly TRUE to the size of any child. I ordered a few sizes bigger cause I think my daughter may grow and well she kind has a belly yet cause she's still young, so it fits in the torso very well, needs to def be hemmed and taken in a bit but, really a GREAT product! |

Wedding Invitation
It's official the invites have been SENT!
And it really does feel so official now that they have been sent and people are receiving them.
I'm praying most will take the time to rsvp, so I don't have to be a crazy bride and hunt them down for a yay or nay. But it's official they are out and circulating, I've even had to do a second round of them because I forgot a few people and then MORE people mentioned other people I SHOULD invite. Didn't really know I'd have to consider so much when sending them out, but I have. I don't entirely believe in this being just about my Fiance' and I. It's about our families and it's important to me to include as many as I can, even if I don't know them that well, or at all, or if FH hasn't even really seen them in years! lol I've already invites tons of families I've never met from my FH side and people that aren't even related but through a failed marriage! AMAZING. But the more the merrier and I look forward to seeing most of not everyone at my wedding. |

I FOUND THE DRESS! AND COLOR!
I thought I was going to go crazy trying to find my bridesmaid dresses. I didn't want formal and I wanted the right color. Nothing leaning towards the fall colors or the darkness.
I went to a bridal show, and a clearance bridesmaid dress all alone was hanging up across the showcase room. I spotted it and was like OMG that's the color!! that's the color I've been HUNTING for! So I got RUSHING over to it before anyone buys it or something and look at it. After Six, Clemintine. I had a swatch of this color too! But because it was so tiny I couldn't really get the whole FEEL of the color you know? Well I found it, whew. I sent a link to my girls to pick out which of the dresses available in that color they loved the most. The first photo is of the dress in the bridal show and the link is to the design they want... Is 99 a good price for a tux?
I just stumbled upon DERKS at the local SALON I was looking at bridesmaid dresses from.
I think the prices are DECENT. You can get a nice tux (if you want to call a tux nice. too uptight for me! lol) for about 99. That includes the shirt, pants, vest, tie, and even silver or gold links if you wish. The shoes are extra at about 25. But it doesn't matter what kind you pick they are the same price. I was just going to go with the 99 dollar tux. I am not picky. Neither is my FH. We aren't picky people usually. Until he stumbled upon the WESTERN tux. The 99 tux was nice too. Nothing fancy, nice coat, a choice of style of pant. Was just going to have an IVORY vest with a orange tie and pocket square which is extra? Who knew? Apparently some people like to have more than one kind of pocket square so they charge 5 dollars for that! haha. But he saw this damn tux! It's nice, I don't see the dif between it and the others. Just the VEST cut has a large V at the bottom of it I think to show off a COWBOY buckle if you are to wear one. He won't, thank goodness. I don't know what he THINKS he's going to wear with it to fill that void? Anyways that one starts at 139, which isn't that bad... anywhere near 200 and I cringe at the thought! lol. So what are you people paying for Tuxes? For the shocking news of another upcoming wedding 2 months after mine we are having to pay 167 for a tux for my FH and 80 for my son... (cringing) I don't know what that includes. Hopefully everything. So what are you all paying? Is there any special reason you are paying MORE perhaps for a tux? The shirt is microfiber? I know you can get shirts made of it so that the groom doesn't have to sweat or something...be good for a outdoor wedding for sure. Are you buying or renting? I was going to buy but I don't like tuxedo's and he's never going to wear it again. |

Here is an update of my boququet. I took advice from EVERYONE who gave some.
I added some different shades of orange... but I kept the white. I added some darker smaller, I call them 'button' flowers to well vary the sizes...might take out the green? Not too sure yet. |

Anyways I wanted orange shoes, or painted shoes or something? Well I just didn't feel like doodling all over my shoes so I decided I would just dye them ORANGE and maybe put something on the heel, anyways here is the RESULT. YAY for orange! |

A good old-fashioned country wedding.
My FH and I have been together six years and been engaged for 2. We have two children, a son who is 4 and a daughter who is 2.
When we wed we will both be 27 years old. He works in his grandfathers business and I am a Stay at Home Mom.
We are hoping to pull off a FUN wedding. The colors are actually Orange, White/IVory and Silver.
We both can't wait to be together in marriage, and to spend the rest of our lives growing old together.
And personally, I can't wait to change my name and become a Mrs.
