How long did you date before you got engaged?
7 1/2 years Did you get the ring you wanted? YES! Was the proposal a complete surprise? Yes and No, I was suspicious but I had no idea when or where it would happen Do you wish you had a bigger/smaller diamond? If so How big or small? Mines perfect! Over 3c total weight and custom designed by my fiance. Its amazing. Did you cry when he proposed? Like a freekin baby for about 2 days Was the proposal romantic or creative? Both. We went on a romantic Gondola ride and he had someone put a message in a bottle in the harbor. When do you want to go for your honeymoon? we are leaving the week after. Are you buying his wedding band for him? I think so. Have you gone over your original wedding budget? YES :D What day of the year will your wedding be? Saturday April 30th What kind of weather? Warm i hope! Inside or outside? Ceremony is Outside, Reception is Inside. Church/justice of the peace? Church How many people will be there? 175 ish Time of day? 6-11pm How many on each side of the wedding party? 4 or 5 on each. im hoping for 4 What kind of cake? simple. 4 layers. Where will the reception be? at a clubhouse What kind of dress? Mermaid or fit-flare What kind of flowers in your bouquet? NONE! Feathers i think Will the reception be big or small? SHOES!!!
MY shoes for the wedding.
I just finished my shoes. 3000 rhinestones later and I'm obsessed. I ordered the rhinestones from ebay and i used E600 glue. The shoes themselves are Jessica Simpson and are the eggplant color I am using for the wedding. The rhinestones are 20ss Purple Velvet Flat Back Swarovski Crystals. I will post better pictures when I get a chance but I HAD to share.

Wedding Music And Songs
Finding the Perfect DJ & Music
Music is so important to me. On my wedding day, I want the perfect songs to be played at the perfect moments. From the first day I found out I was getting married I have been planning the play list in my head. I don't have a clue how I am going to pick our first dance. I have so many favorite songs and so many Ideas! Finding the perfect DJ was quite a challenge. We have not decided for sure what DJ we are going to use but I have a pretty good idea. We are going to see them at a wedding on September 4th. They are called No Limit DJ and are located in Southern California. Has anyone used them or heard any reviews about them? What are your ideas for ceremony music? Here are my ideas so far
Ceremony.... I don't think i want the traditional here comes the bride. I'm thinking Traditional Italian music. Maybe Ave Maria? First Dance: Hoobastank- The Reason OR Brad Paisley- I thought I Loved You Then Father Daughter Dance: I wanted Heartland- I Loved her First but my sister totally took my song in November. Do you know any other songs that are similar? |

Wedding Photography
What a pain!
I have looked EVERYWHERE for the perfect photographer. As ALL of you probably know by now, the ones you want, you can't afford and the ones you can afford, you don't want! I emailed countless photographers and I was just blown away at how much money even the mediocre ones were asking for. I had to come to the realization that I would be spending almost a fourth of my budget on pictures! I came across William Innes photography last week and just FELL IN LOVE with his work. I sent him a price request email and held my breath until I heard back the next day. We exchanged a few emails, a few phone calls and were able to come up with a package and a price that worked for both of us. I am so excited but a little worried about what my Fiance will say when he finds out how much money i am actually spending on pictures!!

Engagement
My Ring!
My wonderful Fiance had my ring custom made for me! I wasn't too picky on the specifics but I had a general idea of what I wanted. I guess I care more about what the engagement means then the size or shape of my ring. I had originally asked for a Square or princess cut diamond but I changed my mind and decided on a round cut. I am so happy and cant stop starring at my finger.Is anyone else nervous about loosing their ring? I'm terrified but I hope it will pass. We just got engaged last Sunday (8/8/10) but have been dating for 7 and a half years. The way he asked me was so romantic. I will post the story soon!

I love the rhinestone ribbion look for my cake. I want a very simple cake and I love how clean this looks. I think I want TopseyTurvy cake or a simple round cake but It is going to be very similar to the one pictured! The baker we are going to use has the most amazing tasting cakes I have ever had.
