Registry Replacements

For those who are not asking for money or gifts.

So Karl and I can't really do this because we are both living at home and kind of need the registry to get us started, but I think this is a great idea for those who have already established a house and who are not in great financial need.

Basically, the ideas is to make a registry on a charity site. 'I Do Foundation' is a great one because you set up the account that your guests can donate to and then you can simply donate that amount to a charity. It also keeps tracks of who donates so that you can later send thank you notes - http://www.idofoundation.org/welcome/registries/donationregistry.html

With World Vision, you can also donate items such as goats, fishing kits, soccer balls etc so that people in need are given the resources to improve their own lives. www.worldvision.ca or www.worldvision.ca

There are plenty more sites, but I thought this was a great idea for anyone who can afford to do it!
