Only 179 Days to THE Wedding
That's NOT enough time!
I just really feel like there is sooo much I need to do still. What I really can't believe is that my little sister is getting married SOOOO soon. May 1st is right around the corner.
I just ordered the bags for our favors. Which I decided the favors are going to be gourmet popcorn (we decided not to do the popcorn bar) in a cute black back with a monogram or thank you sticker on closing the bag. So the popcorn will be put in the bag and closed so we won't have a HUGE popcorn mess. And they can just take it along with them when they go. :) I posted about the flowers earlier and I am going to have a meeting with another florist and see what he thinks. I NEED to pick out my linens and go to the venue and draw up how I want the tables arranged. I have all my centerpieces and what not drawn up. I need to decide if I want a DJ or if we are just going to hook up the iPizzle. I DON"T KNOW. This is a lot. And this is just the beginning of my list. OH AND INVITES! I think I will stop my list right here and just go elope. :) Sounds good to me. |

Shutterfly
I ordered a 8X8 Shutterfly photo book and I received it in the mail today and ladies it is super nice. The only thing I don't LOVE about Shutterfly is that I wasn't able to customize everything (fonts etc.) But the book is super nice and shipping was fast. So I would recommend this to everyone for a guest sign in book or just a nice coffee table book for after the wedding.

I met with a young florist on Friday, I told her all my ideas and then I was a little overwhelmed with all the ideas she was throwing at me. I went to school with this girl and she is actually the girl who works at the bridal dress store and she helped me find my wedding dress. So since she knew me she told me that she would charge me COST on my flowers. We would just trade time (since I do hair and she wants extensions put in) So I thought sweet fair trade. Okay so she told me the price on COST for my flowers and I was shocked. I totally understand that some flowers are more expensive than others but DANG. So she told me cost on my flowers would be $1,500-$1,800. Holy cow. I think I am going to check with more florists around town to see what they think.(My sister just went to get a quote for her wedding flowers and she was only quoted $650- from a guy that does flowers at the Four Seasons in JH.)
But tell me what you girls think does that sound like cost on these flowers or what? Thanks you! |

DIY Wedding
I had the day off and gots lots done.
So my little sisters bridal shower is the 27th of March and my step-mom and I are hosting. We sent out recipe cards with the invites for each guest to bring back their favorite recipe for my little sister to have. So today I found a CHEAP $1.40 recipe box at Michael's. The colors of my sisters kitchen are going to be tiffany blue, red and black so while I was there I found cute scrapbook paper, letters and ribbon to match her color theme. It may not be perfect but I made it from the heart and I hope she loves it!! Pics 1-6 are the recipe box.
Next, I FINALLY got my Dollar Tree order! I honestly don't know if I would ever do the site to store shipping again. It just seemed to be a hassle and even the manager didn't know how to process the order since I had already paid for it online and what not. But I did get all my vases and they are really thick, high quality glass. I love them. My next mini project for the day was spray painting all the salix branches I got from Save-on-Crafts.com and I LOVE LOVE LOVE them flat black. The look so awesome and for one whole bundle it took like half a can of spray paint. I also spray painted the flower girl baskets flat black. I am planning on wrapping the handle with dark purple ribbon. And the last pic is my line-up of all the glass vases I have now for my wedding! Sis-In-Laws Wedding
I picked up some vases for her
So my FH's little brother is getting married in August. I have become quite good friends with my future sis-in-law. The other day we started talking about what her centerpieces were going to be and she told me it would be theses bubble ball vases with flowers. I told her I found a great deal on these at my local craft store that is going out of business. So I picked up 13 of them at half off for her. And now we just have to figure out how to get them to California. :) I was able to find her 8" ones all the ones I have found online are a lot smaller. So she is super excited about this

To Do List...
Stuff I Still NEED to get done...
With only 194 days left until my wedding, I need to get some things written down that I need to do.
1) Finalize photographer-A Day to Adore 2) SEARCH for BM dresses- I have looked EVERYWHERE . 3) Finalize guest list and book caterer- We decided on Mexican Food 4) Register - We are registering at Bed Bath & Beyond and Target 5) Design and Print Invites- I am soo picky about my invites but my little sister is designing them and I found a website that can print for cheap 6) Flowers- I have an appointment on Friday to see the florist and talk prices. Wish me luck. 7) Order FH's ring and the beginning of May I have to go to our jewelers to design my two bands. For now this To Do list will work. I know I have lots more to do but I am doing it as I go. Any suggestions, please let me know. Thanks Ladies :) |

Wedding Decoration
More Glass Vases....
My idea for my centerpieces is to have lots of water, floating candles, flowers, and votives all around...therefor I have been stalking up on all the cylinder and square vases I can find in all different sizes. So today my sister and I were out wedding shopping and we stopped at one of our local craft stores and all their glass vases were 50% off, so I picked some up and I am going tomorrow for some more vases. I only picked four up today 2- 10" vases and 2- 8" vases, both square and only paid $13 for all of them :) I thought it was a super good deal.
As for my vases from dollartree.com, they are still not here. Good thing I have 197 days to my wedding or else I would be freaking out. They did tell me they were going to be here on the 9th and I called today and they will be in on Monday the 15th after 4p.m. So I am not so sure I am going to order from them again. We will just have to see. |

What are some ideas for my dark, romantic evening wedding!?
Im stuck and I have 198 days until my wedding. I really just want my wedding to be dark, candlelit, romantic and classy? I don't know what colors my linens should be and all that fun stuff. My colors are dark purple, black and cream!? And fun, dark, romantic ideas that won't look too gothic!? Please help!
