Wine Glass Charms
I was looking and looking for some sort of favour that wouldn't cost us a lot of money but were cute. These Wine Glass Charms are what I came up with.

I bought all of the beads locally, along with the wire and made these up the other night - all 100 of them!

Lanterns
Lanterns
Ikea Lantern
Decoration
Simple Center Pieces
I found these lanterns at Ikea, for 5$/each. Our tables are long and rectangular, so I will be putting 2 of them per table.

I also plan on getting 2 or 3 different sized scrap-book *Star-Shaped* punches and making "confetti" out of Navy Blue and Golden Yellow paper, to sprinkle on the table tops. These Stars will look great against the plan white table cloths.

Our Napkins are also going to be white, so I am thinking of getting some navy ribbon and tying up the napkins. I'm not sure how I'll do it yet, I guess I'll have to look around online for inspiration... Any suggestions?

I saw one of these on another Bride's Blog and thought it was a great idea.
This is what I have come up with so far.
I know I will be adding more items as time goes on, as I get more items for the wedding.

The Dreaded Dress....
After a lot of discussion between my best friend (MOH) and both my sister and (future) sister-in-law we have come to a decision.

David's Bridal Style F12667 in the colour Marine

The dresses have been officially ordered and the girls will be receiving them some time at the end of May.

My sister found them fcr me!
Yeah, new shoes!
The Stair case at the beach
Shoes
Caution Rugged Terrain!
You can see from the photo the stairs down to the beach where we are having our ceremony are very rustic. They are basically steps chipped out of the rock cliff. I also never wear heels, so these were perfect for me.

I found them online and tried to buy them BUT you need to have a shipping address that matches the billing address from your credit card, oh and they only ship in the US....

So..... I got my sister in Toronto to check around. She ended up calling a warehouse in Toronto, who then said "yes we have them, but we don't sell direct to the public". They gave her the names of a couple of stores they deal with. She then called up a store and got them to order the shoes from the original warehouse she talked to. Not before they tried to tell her that the warehouse didn't have this style, but she convinced the store that no, she had just talked to the warehouse and they did have that style, Please Order them!

To make a long story short, she got them a week later, mailed them out to me in BC and now I have my shoes!

*Thanks, Little Sis*

Scroll work with star
Invitations
Invitation and RSVP's
This is the design I got a local shop to put together for our Invitations and RSVP's.

The scroll work is not an exact copy of my dress but reminiscent of it, and I just really like the stars.

We are ending up with Navy Blue and a Golden Yellow for our colours (like the night sky with stars...)

I love this dress
I purchased my dress without the train

Wedding Dress
Much easier to choose than expected
After searching online for a while I came up with a few dresses I wanted to try on. I knew what I didn't want so choosing a dress was easy. I just knew it was the one, when I tried it on. I only tried on 4 dresses and this was the second one I tried on.

I love how simple, yet elegant this dress is. The scroll work is absolutely beautiful. I am getting my cake done with this type of scroll work, and it is also on my invitaions/RSVP's - pictures to come in later posts.

April 14, 2008 - Snow still on the mountians
October 2007 - the Larch Trees have changed colour
October 2007
Ceremony Site
We spent a little bit of time talking about where we wanted to get married and figured a church was not for us. So after some looking around we found the best place!

I have camped at this spot many times with Girl Guides/Girl Scouts, and knew right away the beach would be perfect.

Maybe there will be the first snow fall on the mountians by
September 20th

Oh, I found some picutures from last October (the trees have started changing colour - so probably no snow on the mountians)

The Proposal and ERing
Scott and I have been together for almost 7 years now. He asked me to marry him this past Christmas Morning (Decemeber 25, 2007).

We had opened a few gifts, then he asked me to open "This one" - a large box containing tonnes of crumbled up newspaper. Until I found the ring box!

My SIL and MIL figured out what was going on way before I clued in and so we have great photos of Scott asking "The Question"

There were definitly a few tears of happiness flowing that morning.
