Thank You Gifts
All of the Bracelets are personalized with each of their names on one side and the date on the other.
The necklaces were an afterthought, I am wearing my Great Grandmother's pearls and I have sparkly rhinestones to go in my hair, so the girls will get both pearls and rhinestones. |

Ask a Question
How to would you honor your best man at your wedding if he just passed away?
Our best man just recently passed way from an undiagnosis genetic condition. We are going ahead with our wedding, as he would not want us to completly stop living our lives.
We would like to honour him at our wedding, but haven't come up with any good ideas yet, Any ideas?? |

Wedding Flowers
DIY
I painted terracotta pots a navy blue (it is much darker navy than the photo shows). I planted with White Geraniums, Yellow Marigolds, White Alyssum and a Dracaena spike.
They are going to look great on the back patio all summer, and even better as decoration at the hall for the reception. |

Favours
Wine Glass Charms
I was looking and looking for some sort of favour that wouldn't cost us a lot of money but were cute. These Wine Glass Charms are what I came up with.
I bought all of the beads locally, along with the wire and made these up the other night - all 100 of them! |

Wedding Decoration
Simple Center Pieces
I found these lanterns at Ikea, for 5$/each. Our tables are long and rectangular, so I will be putting 2 of them per table.
I also plan on getting 2 or 3 different sized scrap-book *Star-Shaped* punches and making "confetti" out of Navy Blue and Golden Yellow paper, to sprinkle on the table tops. These Stars will look great against the plan white table cloths. Our Napkins are also going to be white, so I am thinking of getting some navy ribbon and tying up the napkins. I'm not sure how I'll do it yet, I guess I'll have to look around online for inspiration... Any suggestions? |

Inspiration Board
I saw one of these on another Bride's Blog and thought it was a great idea.
This is what I have come up with so far. I know I will be adding more items as time goes on, as I get more items for the wedding. |

Shoes
Caution Rugged Terrain!
You can see from the photo the stairs down to the beach where we are having our ceremony are very rustic. They are basically steps chipped out of the rock cliff. I also never wear heels, so these were perfect for me.
I found them online and tried to buy them BUT you need to have a shipping address that matches the billing address from your credit card, oh and they only ship in the US.... So..... I got my sister in Toronto to check around. She ended up calling a warehouse in Toronto, who then said "yes we have them, but we don't sell direct to the public". They gave her the names of a couple of stores they deal with. She then called up a store and got them to order the shoes from the original warehouse she talked to. Not before they tried to tell her that the warehouse didn't have this style, but she convinced the store that no, she had just talked to the warehouse and they did have that style, Please Order them! To make a long story short, she got them a week later, mailed them out to me in BC and now I have my shoes! *Thanks, Little Sis* |

Invitation and RSVP's
This is the design I got a local shop to put together for our Invitations and RSVP's.
The scroll work is not an exact copy of my dress but reminiscent of it, and I just really like the stars. We are ending up with Navy Blue and a Golden Yellow for our colours (like the night sky with stars...) |

Wedding Dress
Much easier to choose than expected
After searching online for a while I came up with a few dresses I wanted to try on. I knew what I didn't want so choosing a dress was easy. I just knew it was the one, when I tried it on. I only tried on 4 dresses and this was the second one I tried on.
I love how simple, yet elegant this dress is. The scroll work is absolutely beautiful. I am getting my cake done with this type of scroll work, and it is also on my invitaions/RSVP's - pictures to come in later posts. |
