Wedding planning
Wow can't believe it's been 3 months since i last posted on here. We're at 80 days to go! Wow seems like yesterday i started this whole process. So what's going on?...Well caterer has been picked and we're working on a menu. Also the floral decor is all picked and planned. My cake is going to taste great! I picked out 3 different flavors one for each tier. At the moment I am working on finishing the invitations to get them sent out next month.
Next week We are doing out professional engagement photos. On a sour note one of the bridesmaids didn't come through and get her dress so I had to remove her from the wedding. It broke my heart made me feel like I'm pretty much doin this all on my own . I just thought family would come through a lil more. Oh well...that's life. |

Cedrick my wonderful Man of Honor. We've been friends since 9th grade. Love him to death. He is my Best Friend
Aunt Lisa My beautiful Matron of Honor. She's like my older sister. I love her and happy she has decided to be standing at my side on our wedding day. Tamara- My cousin. So blessed to have her a part of the wedding. Nina- My sis-in-law and she's getting ideas from this process for planning her own. Kanji and Court-ney are my Jr. bridesmaids but they both think they're already grown. They're the best cousins ever. 199 days to go it seems right around the corner. wow less than 7mths. |

So these are the what we're using for the save the dates. Was just gonna make them a card but i wanted to add our pic on there so it ended up turning into a folded card. Still pretty to me and even looks like it could pass as invites. haha! Totally kidding there.

Ceremony Decor
In order to tie in some more Alice into the wedding I decided on a curly willow arch for the ceremony. Arches to rent were well in the $150-$300 dollar range.
Met with a potential florist yesterday and she said she could do this for me. I'm thinking after the ceremony the arch can be brought into the reception somewhere as a back drop for the cake or maybe behind the bride and grooms table with some lights and crystals hanging from it. What do you all think? |

His choice
So the part of the wedding I am letting my FH have any major say in is the Tuxes. He gets a say in everything else but I'm the planner so he pretty much agrees or not.
So that I have a piece of mind and feel like he's contributing time into this wedding. I have opted to giving him the duty of putting himself and all the men in the wedding party together. I think it's a good way for him to feel like he's a part of the planning process as well. He could care less about everything else. At first he wanted a whole Stacey Adams get up and I just could not see it. I've only seen those suits in wild colors. I just wasn't feeling that idea too much. last week we went and looked a few suits and he's fallen for this mirage tux. I like it myself I just would have to see him in and see if it fits him and his style. he also was able to chose suits for the rest of the men. The ringbearer will be a mini him in a white suit with a top hat. I haven't quite figured out the name for my here comes the bride sign holder. I'm hoping everything will pull together nicely for our big day. |

Wedding Photography
We have booked the photographers!
Well i had a meeting the week before with a photographer and i didn't feel comfortable about the contract and the reviews when i did a check on the net. Also i looked at the companies BBB page and they had given them an F. So i was back at square one. I had other photographers i liked and finally i decided to meet with Joe Anna and Gary of Haydon Photography. They are 2 great people we were very happy to meet. They were a definate yes and are now a part of our big day.
Side note on the DJ. he comes with uplighting, a free gobo, plasma tv's for slide shows, and ceiling lights. Since it'll be day light savings time the weekend of the wedding i will have to get drapes for the windows because it will still be light outside at 7pm during the party. |
