medifast diet
hello all, haven't posted on here in awhile, but I am a massive lurker on this site still :)
I have spent a lot of time reading about other ladies' weight management on this site, thought I would ask if anyone has tried medifast?? I ordered my first 6 weeks today, at the recommendation of my doctor. I told him I was desperate to lose weight, I had been doing really well on my grapefruit/high protein diet. Lost about 30 pounds, then developed an allergy to grapefruit, haha. I have spent hours reading up on it, it sounds great, as long as you don;t mind the food and have willpower. I have about another 30-40 pounds to go to my ideal weight/size. Can't wait :) Halfway there! But I would LOVE to hear some reviews on it, if ayone has them :) |

have to start immigration over :(
To start of, I am Canadian and my husband is American. We decided it made more sense for me to go there, I own my own Pet Salon and can work anywhere, where he has a very good stable job that would be very hard to replace.
So we got legally married before out actual wedding day so we could start the paperwork, that was the beginning of June, 2009. I just got a letter informing me that, 'due to a clerical error', my paper work has to be started over. I called in and the lady was really honest with me, she said someone either made a mistake on it or it got lost, and there is nothing I can do to speed up the process, even thought it was half way done :( So that is a year wasted, I am so upset, the money wasn't that big of a deal, it's only $350, but I still have to repay it! Anyway, thanks for reading, I just needed to vent :( |

New Years Resolutions?
Are any of you making any new years resolutions?
I've always though new years resolutions were a bit silly, if you want to start doing something, start now... So I'm going to start mine tomorrow :) I know they are usually dieting, saving money and excersice, but mine is making my hisband lunch in the morning. haha. The poor guy is useless in the kitchen, even when it comes to sandwhiches, so he just eats out or has instant noodles everyday. I've never done the 'new years' thing, but I figured it would be a good thing to start doing, save him a ton of money and keep him eating healthy. So any of you doing anything? |

Ask a Question
How long did it take for you to get engaged?
I know some couples wait years, one of my cousins took 17 years to propose to his girlfriend... and some of us don't like to waste time :P
My parents met at a new years eve party and were engaged January 13th, me and Jon went out for 3 months. (but we have known each other our whole lives, unlike my parents, haha) How about you? 6 months, 2 years, 10 years...? Do you wish it had happened sooner/later? |

guess who got it!
I have to eat some words, I was one of the anti vaccine people, but trust me, you don't want to get this.
I usually deal well with being sick, but this is awful. I've never got the flu before, so I don't know if this is worse than the common ones. I've had a fever for two days straight, I'm dizzy, I haven't eaten in 2 days because just looking at food makes me throw up. For every liquid I drink I throw up at least 3 times. I have weird aches and pains in my legs and neck that the doctor said is from it. I'm shaky, my nose thinks it's a fire hose and I can't sleep. I haven't got out of bed since yesterday morning except to go to the bathroom, get changed or change the sheets. I have missed 2 days of work because I was sick in the last 6 years, so 3 days in a row is killing me! I think it also seriously heightens the self-pity levels. haha Thank goodness for laptops :) |

Veil
Alice Hart
I've had a few ladies e-mail me to ask about my birdcage veil, so I figured I'd post a 'vendor review' tyoe thing :)
First of all, I loved loved loved my veil! I ended up wearing it the entire day, it was so comfy I totally forgot it was there most of the time. It was custom made by Alice Hart of Alice Hart Couture Millinery, http://www.alicehart.com/ She also made the hemp silk flower my sister wore in her hair, and another white silk with feathers for me, just because I feel everyone needs one. :) She has a picture of mine on her website, except with a full birdcage veil, (the kind that covers the whole face), I'm too claustrophobic for that, and with my round face it just didn't look right. So she made me a shorter one, and also made the veil part removable, so I could have just had the bow for the reception. (but I sort of forgot :P) Anyhow, she ships all over the world, or if you're in the area you can go see all her hats and veils. She has way more than are online. |

centerpieces centerpieces centerpieces centerpieces the coffee table, (hadn't been all set up yet) the cake arrangement A shot of what the arrangements looked like in the chapel. the colours came out weird, the carpet looked nothing like that and the green flowers weren't so 'limey'. one of the 3 large arrangements both bouquets my bouquet, I loved it! My sister's bouquet. another of my bouquet FIL's the usher's my MIL's, my moms was similar but with pearls and no pink ribbon, and it was on a sparkly wristband. What the guy's looked like |
Wedding Flowers
Our wedding flowers!
I unexpectedly got the day off work, I cleaned the house, planned out dinner, washed my car and ran out of stuff to do. haha
So obviously I had to do a post about my wedding flowers! I am lucky, my sister is a florist, so she did three large arrangements for me, (they were silks), my bouquet, her own bouquet and the corsages and boutonnieres, (which were felt). The dahlias were from a farm in Lynden, Washington, the lady gave us about 100 of them for only$40! I couldn't believe it! The place I almost ordered them from was going to charge me $500! My bouquet was dahlias, roses, lysimachia, freesia and honeysuckle vines. Her's was the same but smaller and no honeysuckle or freesia. I can't find the pictures the photographer took of the corsages/bouts, so most of the ones there are from my sister's etsy shop, they were almost identical though. http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=7887029 There were some other arrangements here and there, the cake table, the coffee table and on top of the piano. |

Blue crinoline
I had a lady from WBC wanting to buy my crinoline form me, but never heard back from her...
It's just hanging in my closet, it's a size 20 from david's bridal, super comfy, has a bit of a control panel top. Still in really good shape, and obviously it's blue :) I'm asking $15 + shipping. I put some pictures up of what it looked like peeking out of the bottom of my dress, and to show that the blue doesn't show through! it looks a tad brighter in the pictures than it actually is. Paypal only please. |

Ask a Question
A few of the pro picks and your vote please...
My laptop isn't cooperating tonight, so most of the pics I really want to post won't upload, but here are some :)
We need to pick a photo for our 'opening' photo in our album, and one for the thank yous. The last 6 are the options... I was thinking 1, 3 or 5 for the opening page, and 6 for the thank yous. There are a ton more photos, so if you don't think any of them, say so :) Thanks!!! (The opening page is when you open the album it will be the first picture with either our names and date or a scripture/phrase underneath it) |

So Excited!
I get to do more wedding stuff!
My sister 'volunteered' me to a bride who was asking her about flowers. She's totally booked up for December and this girl wants someone to do all the decor and silk flowers.
I'm half really excited that I get to do wedding stuff again, and half terrified. lol, I've done it before, but always for friends. She gave me the run down of what she wants/doesn't want and told me to pretend it was my wedding otherwise. I told her I would do a couple silk bouquets for her before she made her decision. I have tomorrow off so I'm heading off to Michael's to get some white roses, pine cones and something else glittery to start experimenting :) She want's something inedible and glittery as favours, (which I am also in charge of), and another bride posted a picture of a hot pink glitter covered votive holder she did, I don't remember who, but I'm pretty much just copying her with silver. |
