I'm Married
thanks all WBC ladies
So, I'm married and just got back from the honeymoon. The wedding day was beautiful and so fun! Here's some pics, nonpro.
The worst thing that happened was that we were very pressed for time for pictures because we were running late. The photog assured me she was able to get pics, so fingers crossed! :) We did the flowers ourselves from fifty flowers (garden roses) and costco (hydrangeas). All the flowers were supposed to arrive Thursday. The hydrangeas came Wednesday and the roses came Friday. Communication with fifty flowers was great and they kept me in the know. It was a little stressful, but it all turned out just fine. We went to Secrets St. James in Jamaica for the honeymoon. It was wonderful. The staff are AWESOME, the food is ok, but it was so quiet - there were times when we were the only ones on the beach. It was really a great time. I'm married! Thanks ladies for all your guidance and support! Good luck to the rest of you still in the planning process! |

Wedding Hair Style
Not suprising...
So after my trial...I'm just not sure! I saw this hairstyle the other day and LOVE it. And I really, really love the idea of having my hair down for the ceremony and then putting it up for the reception. Mr. Ksugar likes that idea too...so I'm leaning more towards doing this style? But I'm also conflicted on just having a more classic do' the like one below with Carrie...argh!
What do you think? What would you do - the style below (Carrie Underwood), more classic...or this style, a little more contemporary!? Ahh...its all getting so close! |

Wedding Hair Style
Hair Trial
It will be a little looser on top and I will have side sweep bangs more (just need my hair cut). I also may look for a headband to wear, but all in all, I think its cute.

Wedding Shoes
I found some shoes that are heels, pretty and I can actually walk in and are somewhat stable :) - which are really hard for me to find because I don't wear them really. Also I got them on clearance at DSW, even better!
I also have the wedges that I might bring with and use if my feet do start hurting in the heels. |

Wedding Flowers
Centerpieces and Bouquets
So...although the DIY painted cans were unique, after much thought they just really didn't fit well and with so much hard work I've done in DIY decor, I just thought they kind of were too casual.
So...I am kind of going back to the original plan and will have 3 different types of centerpieces on the tables. For the head table there will be the bridesmaid bouquets and my bouquet. I ordered shades of pink garden roses that look like peonies (from Fiftyflowers) for the centerpieces and bouquets. I also ordered white hydrangeas (from Costco) for the centerpieces. I'll have more than enough flowers for all the wedding and it is less than $800. Here's to hoping it won't be TOO much work! :) |

DIY Wedding
Waterbottles done!
I bought waterproof labels at Office Max and printed out different labels. Some ended up on the bottle a little crooked...but eh, its still water inside :)
I think they turned out pretty cute and were pretty easy. I will be putting these in the out of town bags. |

Wedding Dress
First Dress Fitting
And...I don't need any alterations! I just have to loose like 1/2 inch or at my waist and I'm set. It fits now, but its a bit snug and you can tell because it kind of bunches. Otherwise, the dress as is fits everywhere and with the shoes I'll wear, I don't even need hemming! Please excuse my bra and silly faces! :)
Also, the pics weren't taken from the best angle, but you get the idea... I am going to do a french bustle. So, now I'm trying to figure out the best look for my hair. Any opinions, we did a quick and dirty attempt to get basic ideas of my hair in my dress. I am thinking probably a side up do...but not for sure yet. Opinions appreciated. :) |

Bridesmaids
Bridesmaid gifts
I bought these clutch wallets for clearance awhile back, then bought one for myself too. I made flowers and put them on the clutches. After the wedding the girls can remove the flowers, if they want to, and use the clutch as a "normal" one. They didn't turn out as good as I had hoped, but they'll do...I'm runnin' out of time! :)
I also made bracelets for each of the girls. Each are different. Because the girls are wearing halters, necklaces will look weird so I made them bracelets and then will also make or buy earings. I bought Victoria Secret perfumes (mini sizes) a long time ago to give them, so I probably will give them those too. I also have green totes that I bought a long time ago (when my color palette was different) and will probably give the girls those...not sure if I might try to sell those instead. I made the "Bridesmaid" ribbons and bought the pink tanks for the girls to wear on the wedding day that I'll also give them. Other ideas for gifts: 1) Slippers or flip flops for the reception 2) Gift card (depending on the girl, give her what makes sense) 3) Lip gloss Any other ideas? What are you giving your girls? |
