Hello. WBC family. I have a question for any, and or everyone. My best friend of 20 years and we are both 26, so we have been friends a long time is seriously dragging her feet with getting her dress. The matter in and of itself is stressful and to add to it I have just endured a second surgery 11/2010, to my left arm from a car accident.
All dresses have been ordered except for hers, the actual date to have all dresses ordered was 11/13, however I extended the date to 12/4, because I realized everyone's finances were different. Now the info regarding the dresses and order date everyone knew by the end of August, and I asked everyone what they thought about the order time and asked for confirmation. (via text first, then I called) I got a response from everyone except my friend, and to me she is more than a friend she is like a sister. I myself can not understand what the problem is, I asked why I didn't get a response she says because I sent the text as a group forward and she didn't get her own. OK... my first thought how selfish.. but I looked past that. This is bothering me in that I do not want to have to tell my bff you are out of the wedding, but at the same time it's a argument between my fiance and myself. He says I'm holding back and trying not to hurt her feelings and that I'm aggravating him because I'm mad at having to wait on her. I have contacted her throughout this process. I finally broke down and asked on 12/3 what was going on, I explained dresses needed to be ordered by 12/4 and shipped on 12/7 that's to provide time for shipment the last week of march beginning of April and time for alterations. She said her finances were not together, she is trying to take care of her home, son, and she has a boyfriend but he does not help the way he should/could, but that she could get hers 12/11. Oh I forgot to add when this dress subject started in August, my parents offered to pay for half of her dress, and the above sentence is the reason and not only that they view her as a daughter. They were willing to pay the 75.00 deposit and she would pay 50.00. When I told her about the offer she said she couldn't do such a change and that this is my day and the one thing she wants to take care of herself. I'm almost done here..... OK....To get a different opinion and more advice I talked to the bridal shop that's ordering dresses. Her advice order dresses as scheduled, if and when my friend comes to get fitted she will order hers, she just has to pay for rushed delivery if needed... My fiance is furious he says kick her out b/c she acts as if she not interested. He says your bff if no one else should have been the first one to get a dress... What do you really think is going on ? What should I do...

Hello WBC ladies. I have looked through this site and seen very beautiful weddings. The creativity and details have by far surpassed my thoughts. I am not very creative. My colors are pool (tiffany blue) since that color seems to be the closest and chocolate. The three projects I am currently working on 1. favors-- I really, really want a candy bar but, I don't think I can pull it off myself. I am in NC and have not had any luck with finding the bulk candies.. I currently have favor boxes, that I could fill with some type of candy. I am just not sure at this time, and if I go that route I will probably also add cd's as a favor. 2. programs-- the layered diy.. programs I definitely like. If anyone has any ideas and, or template tools are greatly appreciated. 3. linens...renting white linens from my caterer, which the florist indicates she can accent with centerpieces and wedding colors but I have been thinking about placing chocolate runners across to accentuate colors, and of course if anyone is selling and, or know of a great place to purchase chocolate linens any help is appreciated. To top all this off I am waiting to have a second surgery on non other than my left wrist, due to an accident I was in November 09. First surgery March 10, after going through 3 mths of phys. therapy with a torn tendon. So at this point I feel pretty rushed, at times frustrated, and others stressed. Ring cant be sized due to my fingers being swollen, and the photographer wants to do fall engagement pictures...He indicates the scenario is very beautiful that time of yr. which I totally agree. I could wear long sleeves to cover the scar but, I don't have my ring and that's a bummer.. I know this big long first post seems like mostly a rant and rave but, I am grateful, I keep reminding myself of the greater reward, the chance to start a life with and marry my best friend...
