Hello WBC ladies. I have looked through this site and seen very beautiful weddings. The creativity and details have by far surpassed my thoughts. I am not very creative. My colors are pool (tiffany blue) since that color seems to be the closest and chocolate. The three projects I am currently working on 1. favors-- I really, really want a candy bar but, I don't think I can pull it off myself. I am in NC and have not had any luck with finding the bulk candies.. I currently have favor boxes, that I could fill with some type of candy. I am just not sure at this time, and if I go that route I will probably also add cd's as a favor. 2. programs-- the layered diy.. programs I definitely like. If anyone has any ideas and, or template tools are greatly appreciated. 3. linens...renting white linens from my caterer, which the florist indicates she can accent with centerpieces and wedding colors but I have been thinking about placing chocolate runners across to accentuate colors, and of course if anyone is selling and, or know of a great place to purchase chocolate linens any help is appreciated. To top all this off I am waiting to have a second surgery on non other than my left wrist, due to an accident I was in November 09. First surgery March 10, after going through 3 mths of phys. therapy with a torn tendon. So at this point I feel pretty rushed, at times frustrated, and others stressed. Ring cant be sized due to my fingers being swollen, and the photographer wants to do fall engagement pictures...He indicates the scenario is very beautiful that time of yr. which I totally agree. I could wear long sleeves to cover the scar but, I don't have my ring and that's a bummer.. I know this big long first post seems like mostly a rant and rave but, I am grateful, I keep reminding myself of the greater reward, the chance to start a life with and marry my best friend... Thanks everyone for listening, I have pretty much aggravated FH husband but he's great and he listens.

Happy Planning :)
I am also doing a candy bar myself (but this is on top of the favours). Check out my blog. I have already purchased my jars. I just went o various stores and bought vases, cookie jars ect and then I bought Baking measuring scoops for my candy scoop (I think 3 for $4 at Walmart). There is a bulk candy store near my house taht I will be able to get the candy.... I have delegated one of my bridesmaids to set up my candy bar in teh evening since it's going up for the midnight buffet so maybe you can delegate someone to help you or set it up for you.
I am also doing a fan/paddle program like fairlytalebride. Much easier I think, but check out the website she gave you, it's pretty good.
Don't stress about your enegagement photos! You can wear a long sleeved shirt to cover up your scar but if your photographer is REALLY good you could ask him to airbrush the scar out. You could get your ring sized (a bit annyoing) to fit for your enegagement photos or you could go out and buy a cheap fake ring that looks simular to it.
Good luck!! :)
Most importantly, praying for your early recovery. It def has some challenges, this wedding process and marriage in general, but remember that line you wrote about the greatest reward and repeat it to yourself often and it will keep you smiling through the frustrations :)

I'm sorry to hear about your accident and will pray for you for a quick full recovery. Maybe you can wear your ring on your necklace so the photographer can get it in the photographs. If you don't want to wear it on a necklace, maybe have the photographer place it on a leaf, flower, or a prop. Hopefully the swelling will go down in time for the e-pics. Happy planning!
