UPDATE: How much to spend on Wedding minister.

Hello Ladies,

So today, DH and I went to meet with the minister that I said costs $400. We absolutely LOVED her! She was great, very warm and funny.
I didn't think DH would be ok with spending the money, but he loved her so much he wrote the check for her deposit right then and there!

So we have our officiant! Even though she is costly, it covers everything, Rehearsal, unlimited face to face meetings, she completely words and writes the ceremony and presents it to us for approval, she's incorporating everything we asked for and best of all.....we don't have to feed her, lol! I'm happy!

If U feel that good about her, and are haooy and comfort with her, she is worth the money.  I would have done exactly the same thing.  Even a budget bride needs to splurg on some things.  So far my splurg was my bouquets.  I'm having 2, one with fresh flowers in vegas not sure of the final price yet, but its over($150) & a 2nd for the professional photo's we are having done when we return, custom made clay flowers ($180). So go for whats feels rite in ur heart.

We didn't have to pay for our officiant, we were just told to make sure to give them an honorarium which was a nicer way of saying pay him, LOL....

After debating on who we would have officiate our ceremony we actually went with FH's uncle who is a minister. We are paying his hotel room for 2 nights, sending an edible fruit arrangement, paying for his dinner at the wedding and giving him $100. It all comes out to be around $300 which I thought was reasonable.
