It seems the more time that passes the more angry and bitter I get about my destroyed wedding. For those of you who don't know what happened please see the previous post.
I swear the more I read and hear about the Happily ever afters the more I want to scream! What would you do if you were in my position? |

A Ruined Wedding Tale
After trying to plan the perfect wedding, here's how mine went!
The Venue We spent weeks struggling with the venue because their coordinator was so incompetent. They mixed up our wedding cake with another wedding's cake. The officiant pronounced us the WRONG husband and wife! The waitresses were rude to guests during the dinner. My bouquet was wrong. The wedding planner was INCOMPETENT. I had to repeat myself to her over and over until I finally got exhausted and had my step-mother deal with her. Family My mother got stoned and drunk and made a huge scene for the entirety of the wedding and now does not remember ANYTHING from that day. My aunt (mother's sister) got up in the middle of the dinner and yelled at me infront of the guests. My father did not try to help matters in any way and acted oblivious the whole time. People did not stay at the hotel, instead we had people strewn all over the city and some that didn't stay in the city at all. Photos Because of the drama the photos are awful and the strain is reflected in our faces. I dont have one decent picture of me and my husband on our special day. After the wedding Few gifts were given, people left, people were confused, it was a mess Instead of joining us downtown Niagara Falls everyone left. ** I hope this post doesn't frighten future brides... Bridesmaids Gifts
I ordered these heart shapped compact mirrors from ebay. The word "love" is inscribed in the top and I'll be having their initials engraved on the back. I thought it was a sweet forever gift that will also be useful...

A month away!
The road has been rocky and many changes have been made but we ARE getting married on October 16th! I will offically be Mrs. Benjamins!
I'm starting to get excited and I am so happy we chose to have a small wedding because even as small as it is, it's been stressful. I have so many photos to add and things to post! I want to be able to come back to this site and see my plans! |
