Bridesmaids - Audrey Inspired =)

Audrey Hepburn is a HUGE inspiration for me. So it's no wonder that I absolutely fell in LOVE with these Audrey Hepburn "Breakfast at Tiffany's" inspired Bridesmaid dresses =) They will be black just like Ms Hepburn's and I'm thinking about having the ladies wear their hair up in a French Twist like Audrey did in the movie too. There are gorgeous pleated ruffles along the neckline and down the back along the straps of the dress. I'm also considering getting brooches for the backs of their dresses at the point where the straps meet. We shall see =) What do ya think?!

I'm super excited!!!! We found this adorable FG dress at a local store & I'm so excited. This is a stock pic but it's even cuter in person!!!! =) We're gonna swap out that flower with a matching fascinator that my BM's will be wearing in their hair. My Lil Niece Violet is gonna look soooooooooo CUTE in it =) It's so French Chic!!! =) I can't wait!!!!

Wedding Rings And Jewelry - Ring Warming Ceremony

We love the idea of having a Ring Warming Ceremony. (During the service, your rings are passed around to all of your guests. Each guest holds the rings briefly, while silently saying a blessing or wish for your union. This ritual is ideal for small ceremonies, and can be a great way to include your guests in the service.) However we were a lil concerned about the rings getting dropped. Sooooooooooo we decided to use my Nightmare Before Christmas Ring Box to house our Wedding Bands. It originally came with two rings inside of it that read "We're simply meant to be"...and all around the box it says "For it is plain as anyone can see, we're simply meant to be". We'll be keeping these rings as "right hand rings" =) Due to the size of our wedding, we will have a modified version of this ceremony in that the box will be passed around to our Wedding Party and a few select members of our family...otherwise we'll be waiting for the rings to make the rounds forever!!! =P Pic #1 is of the Nightmare Before Christmas Ring Box Pic #2 is of the Original Rings that came in the Box Pic #3 is of my Fiance's Awesome Ring Pix #4-6 are of my Awesome Custom Ring Pic #7 is similar to my Wedding Band (I don't have a pic of it yet) Soooooooooo what do ya think?!

Wedding Cake - Awesome Nightmare B4 Xmas Cakes!!!

So in my search for the perfect Wedding Cake...we have been toying with the idea of having a Nightmare Before Christmas Cake. Our wedding will be a combination of Glossy Black Goodness with Damask and a touch of Fuschia for a pop of color =) ...and we'll have a very subtle hint of Nightmare Before Christmas throughout. You could say the theme of our wedding is Vintage Gothic Glam =) Sooooooo...we're torn with the idea of doing a Damask type cake or a Nightmare Before Christmas themed cake. We don't want anything cheesy...but something very tasteful. Well....we found these two amazing cakes!!! At first you may think it's a lil morbid...but my family knows we're huge Nightmare Before Christmas fans so I don't think they would find it out of the ordinary for us at all =) The baker we've been talking with said she could also try to do a mixture of damask with the Nightmare B4 Xmas theme...Check out the Damask Jack Skellington print I sent her for reference =) I also love the black & white silhouetted version of Jack & Sally =) What do ya think?!

Ask a Question - Which Shoes For My Black & White Dress?!

So I'm looking for shoes to go with my dress...originally I wanted Fuschia shoes to go with my Black & White dress for a pop of color... Now I'm not so sure... I don't want it to clash with all the ornateness and detailing of my dress. I need some help! As per my previous post, I definitely need a Kitten Heel or Flats b/c I am so anti-heel. I don't know why but I have the hardest time with heels and have always just been much more comfortable with flats. Problem is, all the shoes I love are heels!!! ARGH!!! I also really like the look of the ruffled shoes since I'm going for a Parisian feel... So I need your help ladies...what do you think I should do? Any suggestions? On our wedding night we're going to be staying at the gorgeous Villa!!! I'm sooooooooo excited!!! It's freaking huge and sooooooooooooooo beautiful!!! Damask!!! - My Damask Guestbook Scrapbook =)

Since we decided to go with a Photobooth as our Favors - we loved the idea of having our Guestbook be a Scrapbook. So we found this amazing Damask Scrabook and Cardstock to use. We're going to cut out smaller pieces of black cardstock to place in the center of the damask cardstock so our guests can use white & silver pens to draw & write whatever they'd like around their photobooth pix =) We're going to use this metal box to hold all the scrapbooking pens, punches, stickers, etc. What do ya think?!

I can't believe one my best friend's got married this past Sunday. It all happened so quick!!! They had a very nice wedding at the Odyssey and she looked gorgeous =) Today's a very special day for her as she's going to find out the gender of her baby. She's 5 months preggers and due this coming March. Time is flying but I know she's gonna make an incredible Mom & I can't wait till her lil one arrives =) Here's a few pix of my Fiance & I after the wedding. One of my best friends found this AMAZING Damask Ribbon & I just HAD to get it!!! It's GORGEOUS!!! It's wired and the Damask print is slightly raised on the ribbon. It's to die for!!! We're going to use this around our black square vases as well as around the Birdcage Cardholder & I'm sure I'll find a million more uses for it as well. Yay Judy you rock!!!! =)

Damask!!! - Our Damask Flocked Aisle Runner =)

We wanted something different for our Aisle Runner...so we decided on this Damask Flocked Aisle Runner. We're going to have this run from the end of the Arbor to the opening of the Gazebo where the officiant will stand. We will finish off the edges & have Fuchsia Rose Petals along the edges of the runner. Check out the pix. Along the sides of the Aisle in the grass we're going to have shepherd hooks that will hold these awesome Black Glittered Bling Finials which will be attached with Fuchsia ribbon. What do ya think?!

Damask!!! - Damask Mirrored Frames

We're thinking about using these Damask Mirrored Frames for the alphabet markers for the Placecards (i.e., A-J, K-N, O-Z)...you get the idea... =P All depends on the size of the tables we're getting to put the placecards on... We're going to be using these Glossy Black Trays to put the placecards on and hopefully have enough room directly in front of the trays to place these Damask Mirrored Frames. What do you think?!? If that doesn't work out...anyone have any other ideas on what I can use these frames for?

I can't believe it....exactly 1 year from today I'll be walking down the aisle & marrying the man of my dreams!!! Time has flown so much already. I can't believe we've been engaged for 10 months already!!! I remember thinking wow we have TONS of time till we're getting hitched...but now the counter has changed from months to days =) CRAZY!!!! Thankfully I've taken advantage of all this time and have gotten a lot done. Still a few major things that need to be done: ~ Need a DJ ~ Need to decide on Cake ~ Need a Videographer ~ Need to start my 1,000,000 DIY projects =P And most importantly....need to get off my lazy butt and lose another 15-20 lbs =) But no worries...I'm gonna stretch it out so it's not overwhelming & Git 'er done =P 9.5.10 is just around the corner!!! =)

I have this awesome platter to use at the Bridal Shower and I was able to find matching plates for us to use for food & cake & all the goodies at the Shower...I even got matching Guest Towels for our Guest Bathroom =) I'm so psyched =P I LOVE DAMASK =) Can't ya tell? =P

Bling!! - Our Champagne Flutes & Server Set =)

My sweet Mom got us these awesome Champagne Flutes & matching Server Set =) I LOVE THEM!! =) These pictures do not do them justice...they have an amazing sparkle to them =) We also got the color enhanced engraving on the flutes =) They were able to engrave our names in black =) LOVE THEM!!! =) Don't mind the papertowel on the inside...needed to put something on the background so the engraving would show =) I can't believe that in just 3 more days it'll be exactly 1 year till I'm a married lady!!! =) WOOHOO!!!

Wedding Decoration - Damask Sweetheart Table Deco =)

For our Sweetheart Table we will most likely have a half circular table in front of this beautiful fireplace in the Dining Room. I'm thinking we'll do a floor-length jet black linen with these mini vases (one on each side). They're really neat...they're glossy black with translucent damask pattern on them. If you put a tea light/candle inside it'll actually light up the damask pattern =) Not sure if we're going to go with candles inside it or hot pink roses yet =) I was also thinking about using this frame and putting "Les Labrums" in some pretty scripty font inside of it at the front of our table. Either that or we have these awesome Ornate letters spelling out our last name as well. What do you think? I think it'll all depend on what we decide to do with the Mantle behind. My original idea was to have these glossy black fleur de lis on each side & the apothecary jar in the center for the mantle decor. However we found out that the light fixtures on the mantle are actually bolted in and cannot be removed =( Brittanygann came up with an awesome idea to try putting vinyl damask decals over them so the damask will light thru...similar to the vases on our table. So that's definitely an idea =) If that's the case...I could then either put these ornate letters in the center of the mantle or on our table. What do ya think?!

Check out the Damask Pillar Candles I got that match our Damask Taper Candles for our Unity Candle Ceremony. =) We're going to put 2 of these Glossy Black Pillar Candleholders on each side of the Fireplace in the Dancing Room. In the center we're going to put our Candelabra with the matching Damask Taper Candles =) I LOVE THEM!!! What do ya think?!

Check out these awesome Black Metal Damask Frames we got. We're going to use these for the various signs around the Venue, (i.e., Guestbook, Signature Drink, etc...) Mind you they'll look MUCH prettier once we put something actually inside behind the glass =) (had to take the glass out b/c the flash kept reflecting when I was taking pix) =) I just love them!!!! We booked our Photographers & I'm sooooooooooooo excited!!!! They are a husband & wife team that are absolutely AMAZING!!!! I had the privilege of meeting them at another wedding at the Malibou Lake Club. They are very down to earth & personable. We felt comfortable with them right away and we can't wait for them to shoot our wedding =) We'll be scheduling an Engagement Session sometime later next year and I can't wait =) The quality of their photography is so rich & crisp. They have an amazing talent of capturing the essence & ambiance of the event. They are very creative in their photojournalistic style and have an incredible eye for details. Wedding Reception - Black Glossy Sweetheart Table Deco

Our reception venue has this AMAZING fireplace in the dining area that we're going to use for our backdrop of our Sweetheart Table. I found some amazing goodies that we're going to use to spice up the Mantle. Take a look! Mind you that huge table will be gone and in its place a half circle table just for the Mr & I. We're planning on having 2 of the Black Glossy Fleur de Lis' on the Mantle, one on each side and the Tall Black Glossy Apothecary Jar in the center (in place of the lights & boat vase that are currently there). The Banquet table directly to the left of what will be our Sweetheart table will be for our Wedding Party =) What do ya think?!

DIY Wedding - My Black Damask Petal Cones

Soooo while I was searching for some photography shots I found this amazing wedding that was shot in Prague by Tomasz Slota...I absolutely LOVE these pix!!!! I love the way they were taken, I love the attire of the bride & groom...I LOVE everything about them!!!! I think these pix are fabulous!!! Doesn't this just capture the true essence of Romance?! My fiance & I are hoping to go to Paris for our Honeymoon & I'm toying with the idea of getting a photographer out there for an hour or two to take some amazing shots in front of the Eiffel Tower & what not...I hope I can find someone like Tomasz Slota out there!!! Anyone know of any photographers in Paris?
