UPDATE!! BLACK & WHITE WEDDING DRESS!!!
Soooooooooooooooooo Saturday came & Saturday went & I finally got to see the Black & White version of my dream dress in person and OOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMGGGGGGGGGGG it's GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!
I about DIED when she brought it into the dressing room. I couldn't wait to get it on =) Mind you this dress was one size smaller than the White on White version I tried on last weekend...but it's all good. I squeezed into it anyways =P This dress is even more beautiful in person than I could've ever imagined!!! On the lace details it has shiny black and crystal beading. It even has lil pewter beads as well. It's so well made and just...stunning!!!!!!!!!!! Can you tell I LOVE it?!!?!?! I've attached images of what the front looks like now and the modification I'd like them to make so it's more of a sweetheart neckline (Thanks Amber!!!) It is absolutely, most definitely, positively, without a doubt THE ONE!!!!!!!!!!!! Sooooooooooooooo what do you think?!?!? |

Weight Loss!!!!
25 lbs down!!!! 15-20 more to go!!! =)
So far I've lost 25 lbs!!!! I've lost about 4 inches in my hips/waist (YAY!!!)
I'm trying to lose about 15-20 more & then I'll be down to my high school weight =P I've got 15 months to go so there's no excuse!!! I want to get toned & in the best shape of my life so my dress will look stunning on (& off =P ) when the big day rolls around... Mind you my wedding is merely a short term goal...I wanna keep this weight off for life!!! I'm also toying with the idea of doing a boudoir session as a wedding gift for my fiance so I wanna make sure I'm completely comfortable in my skin before I take the plunge =P I've been doing portion control and eating several times a day. I'm also trying to get in extra physical activity whenever I can...since I struggle with the daily exercise thing. At first my coworker thought it was funny when she saw me doing tricep dips and lunges in my office on my breaks but she said she's noticed a huge difference overall and doesn't blame me one bit =) I've even inspired her to get moving...I told her just to try doing more today than she did yesterday and the pounds will start shedding...she's lost 4 lbs already!!! =) It's an amazing feeling when you can fit back into your old clothes again and start feeling good about yourself. I've been struggling with that for a long time & it feels good to feel good about myself for once =) Hope this will help motivate all you other WBC brides that are trying to shed some pounds...YOU CAN DO IT!!! And just remember...no matter what size you are...you are GORGEOUS inside & out and will all make STUNNING brides on your big day =) Also, I'm looking for any SoCal brides that might be interested in training together so we can work out & motivate one another. Anyone interested? =) |

Power of the Pattern!!!
Sooooooo I don't know about you ladies...but I am 100% certifiable OBSESSED with Damask =P ....and while I'd love to blame it on my impending wedding...I cannot as I was obsessed with it waaaaay before I was ever engaged (or had ever even met my Fiance).
So what is it about this design that makes people go crazy?! It's that feeling of any time you see something with that pattern you MUST have it...even if you don't even need it...and not only do you need to buy it...but all of it...every single last one for fear that the store carrying it may sell out...Good Lord!!! I don't know what's going on....but there's definitely some crazy power behind this print that's for sure =) Who's with me?! |

Awesome Veils I Love!!!
I LOVE the look of these masque veils....soooooooooooooo mysterious and yet very elegant. I even love the lil black rhinestones on the front of the veil in addition to the brooches on the sides.
I think this would be the PERFECT accent to my dress. I really want to DIY this or at least try to before I invest a boatload of money into buying one of these. Anyone know where I can get some nice black bird cage material so I can try to make one? I already have some awesome brooches that one of my BM's picked up for me that I could use for the side pieces of the veil, check out the last pic. Any suggestions you guys have is greatly appreciated!! |

I Love it! It'll Be Black =)
So my mom fell in love with this dress and I think it's going to look GORGEOUS on her =) It's so regal...so elegant...just like her!!! =) It's made by Sarah Danielle. She's getting the black version of it...and is thinking of updating the lil flowers on the left side of it to pink so it'll match with my wedding colors =)
She's never even tried it on...but she said nothing compared to the this dress...my mom had her own lil "This is THE ONE" moment =) YAY! This dress was even more difficult to find then mine!!! Go figure =P But I'm glad she's able to order it and since we're ordering my dress from the same place we'll be getting an awesome deal =) I'll have to take pix as soon as it comes in =) Yay Mommy!!! =) |

Know What Really GRINDS MY GEARS?!
....vendors who don't respond when you're trying to do business with them...I mean c'mon people...I've come to you to request your services and I am willing to pay you and you have the nerve not to respond...what, is my money not good enough for you? Are you really THAT lazy that you don't want to take a few measly seconds out of your day to respond to my emails, texts, etc so that you can make a few bucks. Last time I checked we were in a recession and the economy is doing really crappy...so when someone knocks on your door throwing money at you - you would think you'd leap at the opportunity....but you can't even lift a freakin' finger it to accept it...puhlease....re-diculous!!!!!!!!!!
If you've changed your mind about wanting to sell me something, at least have the decency to say something to me so that I can look elsewhere...talk about complete unprofessionalism....UNBELIEVEABLE.... And that, people, is what grinds my gears. Tom... |

I'm not sure yet if I'll be wearing these at the wedding because I really had my heart set on a sexy pair of Hot Pink shoes...but we'll see... My mom is convinced that I MUST wear high heels. Lemme tell you, high heels & I do NOT mix. While in the dressing room my mom had me try on some heels with my wedding dress and I couldn't even stand there let alone walk around for long without my feet killing me!!! So ya...having to walk down the aisle or all throughout the reception for that matter in high heels...not gonna happen. My feet just HATE heels... ARGH!!
I hope I can at least find some cute hot pink kitten heels or flats...My Bridal Salon is even talking about ordering my dress 3 inches shorter so I won't have to pay to have the hem shortened that much...we shall see =P Soooooo what do ya think? |

NEW UPDATE!!! Black & White Dress!!!
Sooooo I decided to call the Maggie Cust Serv today to find out if this dress has white beads like the white version or black. They said since I'm a consumer they can't discuss any details with me. WTF....She did say she can put me in contact with a place that has the dress. I told her I already went thru that and they only have the white version. She said according to her list someone ordered the black version too 0_0 !!!!
Soooooooooo I immediately called the place and sure enough they DO have the black and white version!!!!! Sooooooooooooo this coming weekend I have a Saturday appointment to try on the Black version now!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here's hoping this bridal salon will let me take pix of me in the dress. I'll post updates of the dress after Saturday =) I can't wait!!!! Hopefully this week goes by quick!!! =) |

UPDATE!!! Black & White Dress!!!
I'm a firm believer that things happen for a reason...and once again this has proven true. Since the moment I saw this dress online I couldn't get it outta my mind. I HAD to find it...and I did!!!
Soooooooooooooo after a crazy long search....on Saturday my FMIL and I went to check out the Black & White Maggie Sottero dress that I fell in love with online. Unfortunately they only had the sample in all Diamond White but I was happy to see the silhouette at least. Soooooooo we get to the store and the Bridal Attendant pulls the dress out from the racks and at first I'm like...uh oh...just made an hr and a 1/2 drive for nothing....but I figured I've come ALL this way, may as well try it on. We also pulled like 5 other dresses to try on just in case. We get in the dressing room which is freaking HUGE!!!! and I decide to try on the dress that I came for first...As I'm pulling the dress up I'm starting to get a lil grin. The minute I get the dress on, inner corset laced every other one and zipped up...I took one look in the mirror and I knew....THIS WAS MY DRESS!!!!!!!!! I HAD FINALLY FOUND IT =) On came the giddiness, the butterflies...the whole 9!!! =) I was grinning from ear to ear!!! My FMIL gasped and so did the Bridal Attendant. I didn't want to get out of the dress. =) Mind you we had to use some imagination because the dress sample was all white and I want the black and white one. But I truly believe it can only get better w/ the black detailing. At the moment the dress is a lil...blah...but with the black lacing...it gives it a world of personality that fits right in line with mine =) I love being original and myself and am glad that I was able to find a gown that can express that =) I immediately called my mom and she was psyched!!! So the next day she came down to the store with me to see it in person. She LOVED it!!! She completely agrees it's the best of the best and she thinks it's perfect for me =) I even convinced her to try it on and she looked stunning in it =) Now I forever have the memory of my Mommy in my wedding gown the night I found THE ONE! =) We decided to leave that shop and try the Bridal Salon closer to our house to see if they could order that style. Turns out they can and for almost $400 cheaper than the far away store =) My mom also wanted to order a dress from them so they said they would contact the manufacturer and get back to us on monday to see if it was possible. Well, they called today and they can order her dress and mine for a PHAT deal!!!! So not only did we both get an amazing price...but we both found our dream dresses at the same store =) And better yet...as we were leaving my mom said to me...I'm sooooooooooo happy you finally found your dress...and I was waiting for this moment to tell you...that I wanna buy the dress for you. 0_0 I about fell over & died!!!! I started hugging and kissing her in the middle of the parking lot saying THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH!!!! I never expected this especially since we're paying for the wedding ourselves. My fiance and I had a long talk the night before about how we were gonna afford this dress cuz it wasn't going to be cheap. So this was definitely a blessing (as well as the phat deal we got). We have an appointment in 3 weeks to get our measurements taken and order the dresses. I can't wait! This is going to be sooooooooooo awesome. I can't wait to see what the dress looks like in Black & White. But for now, feel free to enjoy the pix of the All Diamond White version of this gorgeous gown. =) YAY...I'm officially a Maggie Bride!!!! =) Now time to get cracking and lose 20 lbs!!!!!!! Anyone in SoCal looking for a fitness partner?!? Please hit me up!!! =) Soooooo honestly....what do u think?!?! |
