Wedding Dress
beach wedding - beach dress
Went for my first alteration the other day! :) It's weird because this dress is not what I wanted in the beginning - wasn't pictured in my mind at all. But this was the first dress that I picked out and tried on and that was 9 months ago ... fell in love. So simple, so perfect!

Ceremony Set Up!
Gorgeous. i LOVE this look!
Anybody else been struggling with the whole CEREMONY SET UP thing ?? :) I've been throwing it around in my head Forever ... and finally have found one that fits me, and my 'look', perfectly. Of course in the Blue ... :)
We've already bought the petals for the isle. I don't know if anybody has heard of this but it is called Freeze Dried petals. They are totally real, and feel totally real, but are freeze dried so they last forever ... and Don't Judge! I would love real petals but we would need to bring them down from Philadelphia to the Dominican Republic and it'd work out real well. That - or have it cost a bloody fortune! :) http://www.flyboynaturals.com |

Flowers
the ONLY Bouquet that I like !
I don't know why ... I LOVE flowers! And before I got engaged Loved every bouquet that I came across. But for some reason, I couldn't find ONE bouquet that I really felt strongly about. Until now ... Plumeria! It's Gorgeous and it doesn't have centers which is just too cool to me ! I guess my problem was that all of the bouquets I saw were for garden weddings or formal church weddings and mine is sunset on the beach ... and Birds of Paradise is not my 'cup-of-tea' ! :) so ... what do you think ??
Also - Orchids. I love orchids. But other than the lime green (that would clash with me) their colors aren't BOLD enough ! :) |

At home Reception ?
After a destination wedding ...
hello hello! Keith and I are getting married in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic on May 22 and are doing the whole, traditional wedding with a Ceremony and Reception and a Sunday Brunch before everybody leaves the island! But - there are 50 people coming out of the 110 invited ! I know that everyone would like to be there but since several can't make it : we are having an At Home Reception when we get back as well. Is anybody else doing something like this? or having their reception at their house?
We're planning on having a brunch style party with several different kinds of quiche, frittatas, grilled asparagus/vegetables, and roasted potatoes. Along with lots of Champagne and a big beautiful cake (photo) ... figure if it starts at 11:30am it'll be late enough to drink, but early enough to keep it light! :) anybody have ideas? favors? |
