Craigslist?
I found a dress that I absolutely LOVE at a local bridal shop. It's by Maggie Sottero, style "Angel". They want more than I want to pay, but by some miracle I found the dress in the exact color and size that i need--on Craigslist. Has anyone bought their gown online or from a resale sight like Craigslist or Ebay? I don't know anyone who has and am feeling a little uneasy.

dont feel uneasy yet, send them an email and look at the pics of the dress. make sure its the dress and try and pay through paypal. I bought both of my dresses from craigslist. I looked at pics  and i paid one though paypal and the other (less than 100) by money order.

Craigslist is the best!  Consider yourself blessed and go get your gown!  :)

Just be cautious, but I would go for it! Pay through paypal like someone else suggested, and just make sure to thoroughly look at the dress before you buy it. Also don't forget to consider the extra cost of cleaning (since it isn't new from the manufacturer) for the dress, which shouldn't be overly expensive.

WOW, that is STUNNING on you!

Craigslist is great IF you can pick it up locally. You can see the product BEFORE you buy it. I do not reccommend craigslist if you are having it shipped. If it is not what you thought, you have no protection (getting money back, etc)

Ebay is great because there are so many listings. No matter what, if you have a dispute with the seller (item not as discribef, etc), if you pay with paypal, you are backed 100%, and you will get your money back. Ebay is not great if you buy from a 'dressmaker', a.k.a. from China. The results are usually bad or the product is a fake. Stick to buying from another bride, or someone in America. At least you know you will be getting the real thing. Also, only buy from someone with a return policy.

I got both my flower girl dresses on ebay...one was used the other new/handmade.  I absolutely checked ebay and craigs list, but unfortunately I needed a big size and didn't have any luck, so I bought new.  I will be posting them on both, once I'm finished with it.  Be cautious.  Make sure you know what your getting before you commit (like with your fh..lol).

I love craigslist and ebay!! They are both so awsome!! I bought my dress from ebay but had actually found quite a few on craigslist that I was thinking about. I suggest whoever you buy from on Craigslist that you go inspect the dress. Ask them if you can try it on as well. I know you already know the size you need but something that you may not notice just looking at it might be more noticable when it is on you! By the way you look stunning in that gown its really beautiful \!! Congrats on the great find now go buy you a dress lol.
