Thank you all so much for your input and support. It really made me feel better about the whole situation!! Just to update you all....

My mom called me today and told me that my aunt called her and said that MY actions were uncalled for..... my mom turned around and told her that the only person who was out of line was Abby. She then told my aunt that she had nothing more to say to her about it.

A few minutes later, Abby called my phone and FRANK answered it and told her that when she was ready to GROW UP andt ake responsibility for her actions, to give us a call. He also told her that this is a special and sacred event and that nothing and noone was going to ruin it for me, and that she should just be happy for me. He then hung up the phone. About an hour later, knock knock at my door. It was Abby. She said she decided it was best that she not be in the wedding. As much as I would have liked all my cousins in the wedding, the planning is stressful enough and I didn't need or deserve to be treated with such disrespect especially after everything I did for her.( I may have left out earlier that I co-signed for a car for her 2 years ago because I felt bad that she didn't have strong enough credit.) I told her this and she just looked at me, got pissed, and stormed out.

I think she was expecting me to drop to my knees and beg her to stay in the wedding.

So anyways, thank you all again for your support and allowing me to vent!! I really appreciated it!! Hope all is well with everyone!

URRRRGGGGGGG

IS THIS A BRIDEZILLA MOMENT????

So, last night Frank and I went to my parents house for dinner. My 2 Aunts/ Uncles and all my cousins were there.When my Aunt Linda started asking us questions about the wedding, we were more then happy to fill her and my cousin, Abby , in on what all we have planned so far. I got up to go get a refill in the kitchen and Frank went to use the bathroom. As I was walking back into the den, I hear my cousin Abby say-
" Well the only reason LIL MISS GINA is having this ridiculous wedding is because MOMMY AND DADDY are emptying their pockets. She will leave them broke. She must think she is on an episode of PLATINUM WEDDINGS or something."

I paused for a second and thought about it, then decided to keep my mouth shut because I was at my parents house and did not want to start anything there.

During dinner, my cousin made yet ANOTHER REMARK.......

" So Gina............. What Is Your Budget.......... Or Are They Paying For This
Event?" I just looked at her.

THEN I BLEW....... I told her if it bothered her so fucking much that I was having this wedding, then maybe she shouldn't come, more or less be a bridesmaid........ Or Is It The Fact That You Can't Even Keep A Man That Is Really Bothering You?"

I continued by informing her that Frank & I are paying for this wedding.

My cousin has always been this way. I worked my ass off in high school for scholarships to go to college so that my parents didn't have to pay for it.

I worked my ass off in college to get my degrees. NOW I WORK MY ASS OFF TO MAKE GOOD MONEY AND I AM SO SORRY IF SHE CAN'T COMPREHEND THAT I HAVE WORKED MY ASS OFF ALL MY LIFE AND IF THIS IS THE WEDDING I WANT THIS IS THE WEDDING I WILL GET!! I am a Pharmaceutical Representative and Frank is a Pediatrician. We met in college. WE BOTH WORKED FOR ALL OF THIS. I have never been the type to throw shit in people's face, but all my life my cousin has been this way. MEANWHILE.... she is the spoiled brat who whines when she doesn't get her way. I pride myself on being the responsible, accomplished woman I am, and I'll Be Damned If I Am Gonna Let Her Bring Me Down.

My parents were not mad at me at all, and poor Frank was just like WHOA.

Do you all think I was wrong?? I am just so sick of her shit.

Frank had his niece give me a special gift that I thought was from her. When the top fell off I saw an ornament that said Frankie & Gina 12/25/08 From This Day Forward... MARRY ME!!!..I looked and he was on his knee with the ring!! He then blurted out something about always knowing he wanted me to be his wife..I was speechless & in shock for a few seconds before blurting out an ecstatic YES!!!

This Will Be The "Border" On The Walkway!

We Will Be Holding The Ceremony On Their Event Lawn....

In A Tent. I started looking for ideas a pictures on the web to share with Jane and came across this......(Pic 1) OHHHH MYYYY. Just Beautiful.

I printed a pic off to show to Jane yesterday. Jane said it was an ABSOLUTE YES!! She and her crew can pull this off!!

Then She Had A Suggestion........ There was a picture in the Ice Sculpture Portfolio Of Icicles On The Edge Of A Stage. (Pic 2)

That is going to be lined on each side of the "walkway" to the ceremony!!

So Excited! Then she asked how I felt about a Horse & Carriage for me and my father to ride in from one side of The Resort to the Ceremony Location on the other side. Then for Frank and I to take us to the opposite side to our Cocktail Hour And Reception.

Our Bridal Party Will Have One Too!!

Wedding Reception

Our 1st Meeting With The Caterer Went Great!

We were so impressed with the spread the chef prepared. I went into it wanting to select our own menu, but WOW....

He handed us the menu packages to look over. Frank and I were sitting there pointing to everything that appealed to us. Then the chef had them bring out his "proposal" and I SWEAR IT WAS EVERFYTHING FRANK AND I SELECTED!!!! The food was delicious!!!

The chef also explained that we didn't have to lock into this. We have plenty of time to really think about it.

We then discussed the Cocktail Hour Drinks, Reception Drinks, AND our
Midnight Madness!! Frank and I have to select 2 Signature Cocktails For The Cocktail Hour ( there will be an open bar however) then those Cocktails plus one more for the Reception.

We are having a Specialty Coffee/Tea Bar AND a HOT CHOCOLATE BUFFET!!

Our Midnight Madness menu will consist of the following-

Mini Cheeseburger Sliders with French Fries and Milkshake Shooters
Mini Grilled Cheese with Tomato Soup Shooters
House Made Donuts with Milk Shooters
AND
Mac-N-Cheese Fritters!!

During the Reception there will be a-

Classic French Pastry Buffet
Classic Viennese Dessert Buffet
American Dessert Buffet
AND....
Chocolate Fountain!! OOOO I am so excited!!

Wedding Reception

Meeting With Our Caterer In 3 Hours!!

I am so excited. We are sitting down with the Executive Chef to discuss cocktail hour food/ drinks, reception appetizers and entree's, and MIDNIGHT MADNESS ( Snacks for our guests when the Ball Drops!!!)

He wants to give us a menu for us to decide, but is also very eager to make suggestions!! I CAN'T WAIT!!!

The table's will be a little different obviously but the rest of the decor is right on the money. Icicles hanging, the lighting. I knew I would find a picture that would sort of set the scene!!

I am purchasing these snowflake picture ornaments for my place card holders. Jane is going to use them to hang from a Crystal Tree Outside the Reception Doors.
