My beautiful WBC Brides! I sure do miss all of you! Married life is wonderful, different and the same in so many ways.Next week we will be married for 2 months and I can't believe how fast time is flying! Anyways, I was hoping you girls would follow me on my *NEW* and improved blog! I enjoyed blogging so much on WBC that I decided to start a new blog dedicated to my life as a wife! As most of you know we just bought a house and I hope to chronicle some of the *stress, excitement and planning* that goes along with that! Wedding Reception

Wedding Recap.. {continued} It was then time to DANCE DANCE DANCE!!!! Our DJ invited everyone to the dance floor and we started off to Cupid Shuffle and I didn't stop dancing the whole night. My son was so cute, break dancing and teaching my niece how to dance too. I had a great time dancing with everyone including my niece who was just having a blast and looked so beautiful in her flower girl dress. I'm sure those pictures are great, I remember twirling and dancing with her on the dance floor for at least 30 minutes. At one point we had the whole circle thing going and that was a blast, everyone, including people I NEVER thought I would see on the dance floor, got up to dance! We Towards the end of the night Nick and I walked outside when it got dark to get a few minutes alone and take some pictures on the pier, Our Videographer had us dance at the edge for some footage for the Video, which I'm sure will be amazing. Those are the moments I cherish and will remember most, the feeling of love, and just finally being married. It really was the happiest day of my life. Not because I had a killer DJ, or great linens and beautiful flowers, but because I was finally married to this wonderful man. Everything was amazing, and It was the wedding of my dreams. I thank him every single day for allowing me to have that wedding, it wasn't something he wanted, or cared about. He would have been happy going to and island by ourselves and getting married, but he knew that wasn't what I wanted and for the past 8 years that's what he's always been about- Making my dreams come true, he does it every single day. I only wish you ladies, nothing but happiness. Don't forget what the day is about, take time away from the Reception just to enjoy everything -TOGETHER- Remember to dance like nobody is watching you, if your hair gets messed up, who cares? You will only have this day (hopefully!) one time in your life, live it to the fullest! Enjoy every single moment and detail, the way the flowers smelled, how good the cake tastes, seeing all of the happy tears from the ones that truely care about you. Getting married is a blessing, not everyone meets that one person to spend forever with. Don't take it for granted. Love with your whole heart ALWAYS. Although my It's been fun ladies! Thanks to all of you! Nothing but all my love! {xox} |

laurie88's part 1 Reception Recap
I will pick up where I left off at the end of the Ceremony!..Feel free to skip through to the parts that interest you. I'm posting this because I know there are a few brides that are interested in the details as much as I was! So After they were finished taking our pictures we were told to wait outside the tent for the Bridal Party and Parents so they could be announced with us.. My Mom, who is a HUGE Elvis fan, was annouced in to Jailhouse Rock, along with Nicks Parents. The Bridal Party was annouced with Let It Rock by Kevin Rudolf.. I was so excited to run through the doors with my HUSBAND! I couldn't wait to spend time with my family and friends and dance the night away.. Give me everything tonight by Neyo started playing and we linked our hands together and danced our way into our Reception. It was SO much fun and a moment I will remember for the rest of my life (along with many others!) After everyone greeted us on the Dance Floor it was time for the Daddy, Daughter dance. My Father choose My little girl, by Tim Mcgraw. The moment the song started playing and I heard the chorus the tears came, I remember my Dad saying in tears, You will always be my little girl and I lost it. It's such a bittersweet moment, It's like saying goodbye to your That dance was followed by the Mother/Son dance. Which was beautiful. After those dances- It was time for dinner! The DJ played a great selection of beach songs, like Under The Boardwalk and Beyond the Sea. I was so excited to get to the fruit tree with our coconut shrimp and fresh fruits, but I didn't make it there! They served us our dinner at our sweetheart table and it was sooo good. It was hard to eat though, and I maybe took about 6 bites of my meal. After everyone came up to greet us, I said my speech. I have it posted in another post if you are interested in reading it for inspiration or just because. It was short, but I said everything I needed to say, I did cry. I can't friggin' believe how much I cried! Everyone was coming up and telling me they had never cried so much at a After Dinner- We cut our cake. I wanted to do this to get it out of the way. I didn't want to stop in the middle of having a great time to cut my cake.. It was fun, we were both a little nervous about 'cutting it right'. Nick asked my permission to shove cake in my face, I told him just a little and he was accommodating. We didn't wanna be one of those lame couples that just fed the cake nicely to each other (sorry girls, just not me!) This is a time to laugh, be laid back, & have a great time! The cake by the way, was amazing! It was covered in buttercream icing and shredded coconut. Our layer was pineapple cake filled was key lime filling! Fit so well with our tropical theme! Then it was time for our First Dance- I wasn't as nervous as I had thought I would be- Luckily, we had time to practice the night before and it went smoothly I believe. We started off with Unchained Melody- by the Righteous Brothers. Then the DJ switched it up and Soulja Boy came on! Nick and I played stupid for a few seconds and just broke into it(afterwards, everybody told me they thought Nick was playing a joke on me!) It was SO much fun and I couldn't stop smiling, everyone was laughing and it was a great moment, totally fit me and Nick as a couple and everyone appreciated the extra 'entertainment', Nobody- not even our bridal party, knew about the dance. So I think it was surprising to everyone. plus we still got the slow first dance moments with the song we started out with.. So I dont start to bore you guys to death I will stop here and pick up where I left off later.. Until Next Time.. HAPPY PLANNING!! {xox} |
