What song are you using for you're recessional?



I have no idea what's up with me lately, I can't decide on ANYTHING. I've been debating for the past week which song to use for the recessional?(the song you and your groom are walking out to at the end of the ceremony?)

I don't want something sappy really, just something happy =) I'm sure I won't be able to contain my excitement!

It's a upbeat song and great to walk out to...in my opinion.

Since we are having a church wedding it had to be church music, but I love our choice - Love Divine, All Love's Excelling on the organ.

Well... I dunno how traditional u want to be but since ur having a beachy theme u can always do jason mraz, jack johnson, Beach Boys - "Wouldn't It Be Nice", "I Can't Help Falling In Love"- UB40
or maybe even... 311-"love song" to help set the tone for rest of the day?
I'm thinking of doing Prince-"Kiss" or Huey Lewis and the News-"that's the power of love"..lol!

i havent chose one yet either :( i want something fun and upbeat...my cousin used the song from shrek and i thought it was so cute they skipped and dance down the aisle. i forget the name and who sings it, but its the one that goes " i thought love was only true in fairy tales........til i saw her face, now ima believer" it was so cute...id use it but she already did lol

I'll answer this one because I'm more sure about our recessional song than any other song in our wedding ceremony, lol.  We are playing 'I Do" by Colbie Cailiat (sp?) it is such  fun and upbeat song, it makes me want to dance everytime I hear it.  I might start it a few seconds into the song so the first words are "I do, I do, I do do do do do do...."  If you haven't heard it, then YouTube it and listen.  It's so much fun and very trendy right now.

The recessional was my last song to pick too! I think we have been busy making so many decisions you just get to the point where you just want to be done deciding!!
I think you commented on my post a week or two ago about my recessional song, but I also wanted an upbeat fun song and will be going with Carrie Underwood- Ever Ever After

we had ... Starship - nothing gonna stop us now.

there was a lot of meaning for us in that song. since we had a lot of people say we would never make it. and that we wont last long in our marriage.. so far we have beat the odds since these people gave us less then a year hahah.
