laurie88 needs your help!! Which starfish cookie favor?



I've been obsessed with this idea since I first started wedding planning! At the time my former MOH agreed to help me make them. Since she's not longer "in" with my wedding planning I'm either buying these or attempting to make them myself.

I could do a single large cookie in a bag tied with colorful ribbon, or mini starfish cookies(about 4 or 5 bite sized) in a favor box. I can't really decide which one works best, I think the bite sized ones are cute because they offer a little snack for the guests at the end of the night. But the single starfish's are less work.

The mini ones would be a mix of hot pink,orange and lime green most likely in orange favor boxes. They large ones would be a mix of colors as well and I could monogram them with our initial.

What do you think? Which would you prefer as a wedding guest?

Knowing me, since I do baking...I would go for one large one. When you get to the minis, it's really time consuming and you'll have 5 X 100 guest, that's 500 cookies.  That's a lot of decorating. I'd go for the large. If you need me to taste your favor samples, let me now? I'm ready anytime...hehehee

We have about 70 guests so yes, lots of decorating! Which is what concerned me. I'm really leaning towards doing the large ones. Thanks for commenting =)

i like the idea of a large cookie, just as yummy and a lot simpler!  they are going to look amazing, love this idea!

I think both would be cute :) But if I were the one receiving it, I would want a larger cookie!

I like the looks of the smaller ones, yes it is a lot of decorating, but perhaps a friend or other family member could help you... If you do a couple yourself, just to kind of show them how you want it done, im sure they would be able to catch on to it quite quickly.

It would be easier if you went with the larger cookie.  Plus, it would be super cute too!  I think whichever one you choose, though, your guests will LOVE them:)

I sort of like the idea of minis, just because it's different, and I'm odd... I adore miniature food :P

But I wouldn't do such elaborate decorating in that case, unless you want carpal tunnel :) Just a plain little cookies with a simple initial on them would be sweet.

I agree with the larger ones for the sake of saving time & effort.

I think the larger ones will display the monogram better as well.
