Updates from laurie88!!!! FINAL COUNTDOWN!!!



Here is the new plan I came up with for displaying the Sparklers for the Sparkler send off at the end of our reception. I originally had like 5 different vases filled with sand and it was pretty time consuming and harder to transport them and set them up that way.

So I found this pink pail for $2 at Target, wrapped it with some orange ribbon I had and added the Starfish, filled it with sand and viola!

I love it, I need to make a new Sparkler table sign though because the one I had had something spill all over it(that's what I get for leaving the stuff in reach of my 2 year old nieces.(lol, love them!)

What do you think?

In other news, I got my ring back, I had the 2 put together because it would always move around on my finger and I hated it..I still have one bridesmaid that never went and got fitted for her dress, She claims her aunt is doing the alterations, that's fine, but hello, pick it up!!! My wedding is next weekend! IHer Husband who is in the wedding too, still hasn't bought his stuff either, so frustrating! 'm soo trying not to be a bridezilla right now but good lord people, get your sh!t together!
-Picking up my dress next Wed.
-Started the Menus but need to finish up about 70 of them
-Need to figure out the Rehearsal dinner outfit/finalize the guest list/pick up some tables from a family member/buy food and decorations
-Still have a few wedding payments I have to send
-Put together the slideshow pictures, just waiting for DJ to get back so I can finalize
-Need to decide on mother/son, and first dance song still!
-Need to practice our surprise first dance
-Still need to pack & put wedding stuff into tubs with pictures for coordinator
-Need to confirm guest count (looks like 89!!) with caterer
-Manicure/Pedicure and eyebrow arching's scheduled for next weekend
-Still need to assemble one more welcome bag and the bridal party gifts
-PLACE CARDS!!! (dad brought over the sand box, need to buy sand and assemble the starfish onto the place cards)
-Finish love letter to Nick and write speeches and adventure book (buy wine,tealight candles and make CD for the night before the wedding)
-BREAK IN MY SHOES!!! and get some dr. scholls padding!

It's 105 degrees here in MD today and it looks like next Saturday it's supposed to be 96 degrees! My dress is heavy so it looks like I'll be soaking in baby powder! :-P

Aside from my unhelpful bridal party I am sooo ready to marry this boy! It's like planning this wedding has brought back everything, all the feelings I had when we first met, and I have fallen in love with him all over again. I am so blessed!!!!

Everything coming together and its look like those two won't be in the wedding, your wedding is right around the corner and they still don't have their stuff, now that's a problem. I would ask if they still want to be in the wedding because since they are husband and wife it won't make your bridal party uneven

Programs are printed already, I would hate to have to reprint them. but yes, I feel like it's a problem too! But what am I gunna do? Can't stress about stuff like that.. if they get what they need they can be in it, if they don't then they aren't. Simple as that =) My sister still doesn't have her shoes either but I think she is picking them up this weekend if they still have them. Our bridal party is already uneven but I have it worked out for the Ceremony and Reception entrances and everything. I have 4 BM's and he has 6 GM's. (we both wish we would have kept it simple with only one attendant for each of us)

She has paid for her dress, just never picked it up for alterations. and the suits are at a local store here, just tan pants white shirts and boat shoes with a belt. Simple! Considering the heat I didn't want everyone to sweat to death.

Thanks girl! and there is no need, it is what it is, you know? What am I gunna do? Why try to be upset about things I can't change. I'm not letting crappy people ruin my amazing day or the feelings I have for my amazing hubby to be =)

I'm so glad you found my page so I could find yours! I too am doing sparklers, and I love how you have the matchbooks with them!! I wanted them to go off after the ceremony and was trying to figure out how to negotiate how to light them!! Great idea! I bought smaller ones but the big ones look great!!

@creative bride- I wanted to use the Sparklers at the end of my Ceremony too, but our Ceremony is over before the sun goes down so that kinda defeats the purpose which is why I choose to do the 'Send off' instead. Thanks for the good luck wishes, so so NERVOUS!! It goes by so fast so enjoy every minute of your planning =D
