Would you consider getting married at McDonalds?!

Saw this post on a blog today, and it made me laugh:

As of the new year, Hong Kong will start offering weddings at three McDonald’s locations. It can't be true.. Can it? Couples actually want to take their vows over a bag of fries and a limp burger while dipping their fingers in some complimentary sauce.

It sounds more like a joke than the beginnings of a long-lasting partnership. The only pro must be that it won't cost all that much. Around £250.

What to expect? A wedding cake made of McDonald’s apple pies and a cheesy “french fry kiss” where couples nibble on opposite ends of a french fry.

Will these fast-food wedding banquets be a hit with couples? What do you think WBC ladies, would you consider having your big day at Mc Donalds?! Only in 2011 could this be happening! :-)

A definite no :). McDonalds is great for birthdays, but not weddings.

Oh no no no! LOL! I so wouldn't. Not to mention, I gave up pop and fast food so it would defeat that purpose, too!

HAA, I read that too the other day.

I've also heard that it's a 'high end" restaurant in their country, I'm really not surprised. I love McDonalds, however, not for my wedding lol. But hey, to each it's own! LOL

You'll probably be surprised by the amount of people that will actually do this. I gave up fast food about 2 years ago so its a big no-no for me!!!!

I won't, my FH apparently would love to, go figure... I don't like McDonalds except for the pies (apple, etc., yum), so I wouldn't mind a wedding cake made of apple pies.

I agree with you ladies, it's definitely a no no! But you know there are some people who would absolutely love the idea of pledging their love under the golden arches!! :-)

Oh My! Can't say I'd be down for that. But it does bring up a childhood memory of me telling my Mom that Steven and I(my "kindergarden boyfriend") wanted to have our honeymoon at McDonalds!

i read this when a friend of mine sent it to me. I laughed at it.

I like to joke with my girls and tell them we are going to have Mcdonalds for the main dinner at the wedding. lol

I still cant get over it

Can you see yourself working there and see a bride in her dress with wedding guests asking for Big Macs. i would die laughing

Lol. My husband and I met at McDonalds. We go there on our "the day we met" anniversary and even considered doing McDonalds for the 5 kids at the reception but NEVER say our vows there.
