How long did you date before you got engaged?
Hehehe, not very long. We have kind of a unique situation. -Did you get the ring you wanted? It is more beautiful than I could have ever imagined, He did a very good job! -Was the proposal a complete surprise? Yes!! See below my engaged blog. -Do you wish you had a bigger/smaller diamond? If so How big or small? NO my ring is perfect!! -Did you cry when he proposed? Yes, it was an amazing moment. -Was the proposal romantic or creative? It was romantic & creative at the same time !! SO CUTE -Where do you want to go for your honeymoon? hmmm, well I think Vegas is our honeymoon. -Are you buying his wedding band for him? Yes -Have you gone over your original wedding budget? I don't think so! -What day of the year will your wedding be? Saturday -What kind of weather? VERY warm Las Vegas in the summer weather -Inside or outside? Outside -Church/justice of the peace/other? other -How many people will be there? around 30-40 -Time of day? Evening -Any kind of theme? I go by my cakes name...Passion -How many bridesmaids? Who would they be? 4, my sister MOH, cousin, and 2 other besties -What kind of cake/what will it look like? 3 tiered with red roses -Where will you have the reception? Dark Red Roses -Kind of engagement ring? 3 stone with stones on the the sides and front and back of the band...LOVE -Kind of wedding bands? His is Tungsten...not sure about mine yet -How will you wear your hair? I DONT KNOW!!?? -Who will be important to be there? Family and close friends -Will the reception be big or small? small -What will the groom wear? A sexy tux! -How long on Honeymoon? A few days -What will you do? HEHEHEHE :) -Will it be modest or costly? Modest -How old will you and the groom be? I will be 27 and Timmy will be 28 -How long will you be engaged before you get married? Since December/January..but the official date was April.9th/10 -Live together before or wait till married? I live 1800 miles away from him, but we are gonna set up shop when I visit there next month -Take a long time to plan the wedding or will it be simple? took our time, we have it pretty easy as we are getting married in Vegas. -Will you do it yourself or with family or hire someone to plan the wedding? we have help from everyone. -Will you write your own vows or use something pre-made? Bridesmaids
My Bridesmaids dresses so far!
My sister (maid of honor) and Marissa so far have gotten their dresses for the wedding. Thought I would post since I haven't in a while! Oh yeah, that is one of my nearly finished bouquets that I made! I was pretty impressed with myself of how they turned out :)

The Proposal
MY BEAUTIFUL RING!
April.9th, 2010 is our official engagement date!
I went to go visit Timmy in Minnesota that day where he took me to a beautiful resort lodge for the night up the North Shore. This is where he sent me on a fun little Easter egg hunt (in our room). Well.........Timmy being as sweet and as romantic as he is, hid my engagement ring inside the last egg that I found about an hour after the egg hunt was supposedly over. He told me he forgot that there was another egg......we played the hot and cold game where I found the egg in the bathroom. I came out and he was on one knee....I opened it up...."oh my gawwwd!" :) He picked out the ring himself. He did a pretty darn good job !! I am so in love with the ring, it is absolutely perfect. I am so very lucky to have Timmy. He is everything that I could have ever dreamed of, but way better. He is the most amazing man I have ever known. I Love YOU Timmy! |

DIY Wedding
some bouquet ideas for my BMs!
I am having real red roses for my bouquet, but I am gonna make some pretty "Vegas like" bouquets for my bridesmaids made out of white, black, red silk flowers, ostrich feathers, lace, ribbon, and jewels! I am actually really excited to make them, I LOVE DIY's! Here are my inspiration pictures! I am probably going to make myself a throw away bouquet too but red. Has anyone made them or thinking about making them?

I think I have found what I was looking for.
I was searching the internet last night looking for flat sandals with some sparkles on them (I'd want to wear them again) but then I came across these.....I think they are so cute! I haven't made my decision yet, but I am really leaning towards getting them. I just think they are adorable!

For our engagement photos we want to do them near where I live in Vancouver BC perhaps in May....Having a hard time finding a decent priced photographer...Anyone know or have had some photos done in that area? Thanks!

Ceremony
Valley of The Falls
Our flowers are going to be different on the sides (white ) but the runner is still going to have red pedals. Our ceremony is an add-on to our wedding package at Mandalay Bay. I can't wait to walk down that Isle and see my handsome fiance at the end waiting for me. We both think this place is PERFECT. I love it.

because our wedding is a package deal through the hotel, we don't have to worry about bakeries, florists etc...all we have to do which is still a fun job is pick out what we want from a list of things provided. This is our cake we picked out. VERY romantic.

Wedding Dress
Bought the dress!
I am in LOVE with my dress. When we decided to get married, I went online right away to get some ideas....I must have looked at hundreds of "OKs" then I saw this one. "THAT'S MY DRESS!" My mom tracked down a bridal shop near Vancouver that carried the dress, made an appointment the next Saturday for me to try it on! When I got there the consultant told me to try on other dresses just to make sure so she pulled out at least 12 and i picked out a few just to make her happy, then she brought out my dress from the back. My eyes lit up and I could hardly contain my excitement! "EEEEKK! THAT'S THE ONE!" I ended up trying on all the dresses (it's something a bride must do) but when I tried on my dress, I knew it was the one! It fit PERFECT too. I wasn't going to get a veil, but when Annie (my very helpful bridal consultant) placed one on me....it made the dress that much more beautiful! I can't wait to go get it when it's done being made, I am sure I'll try it on a few dozen times before the big day!
