Honeymoon
New York City or Hawaii
Help us choose our honeymoon destination! It's a toss up between New York City and one of the Hawaiian islands...two totally different destinations I know. But these are two places we really really want to visit, and just can't decide.
What I'd like to know is who has been to either of these places? Or better yet, who of you live there? I'd love to hear any feedback if you've vacationed there...good and/or bad and what are some of the definite spots to check out while you're there and what to do! Keep in mind we'll either be going this coming fall or this coming winter. I think autumn in NYC would be amazing. I've been obsessed with going to NYC for the past two years now. On the other hand getting away from all the ugly snow here in the winter and heading to Hawaii would be something else! It's too hard to pick! hahaha. |

I'm married!
I am officially Mrs. Leanne Johnson
I can't believe it's come and gone! It was an amazing day! The weather held up...the forecast was saying rain all week , but the sun was out during the ceremony, after that it was overcast, which was excellent for pictures! No squinting! haha. Having the professional pictures taken was so much fun! We definitely have some awesome shots! I can't wait to get them, in the meantime here are some of the pictures taken by myself and guests at the wedding.
Nothing went wrong, nothing "major" anyway. I really enjoyed myself, I was a bit nervous before the ceremony, but mainly excited and just filled with so much anticipation. All my planning paid off -- I loved how the bungalow looked, simple but at the same time very classy. And my cake! Oooh the cake! I loved it. Haven't eaten any of it yet, that's because it's still at the bungalow, we'll be picking it up tomorrow. It feels nice to have that band on my finger...finally! :) |

Stagette
What a fun night!
My stagette was Saturday past and it was so much fun! Drinking, dancing, games, and of course the big blow-up penis! haha. We went DT to a club later in the night but didn't stay long, it's much more fun to just stay in with everyone--DT is always so crowded.
That whole day was alot of fun actually. It started out at 10am. My mother-in-law (to be) and I went to the spa and had bodywraps. Which was amazing! then I went home got showered and stuff and went out with Mel and had a late lunch and then we went back to her place and started in on the partying! I had almost 300 pictures taken on my camera...so these are just a few of them! I'm getting married in 3 days! :) (my info says 2 though...weird) |

So this is it...in one week we will be saying our "I dos"
I'm on my Vacation as of today! So I'm off for 2 weeks and the wedding is in a week. I really needed this time off from work, just to have a break and to get everything done! Matt's working today and his Vacation starts at 8:30 tonight. I can't wait for him to get home. It's a beautiful 23 degrees and sunny, so a late night BBQ is in order! My sister is also flying in from Halifax today so she'll be here in a few hours. She's our MC so we're going to go over that and speeches and the like. My stagette is tomorrow night! And I'm super excited!! This weekend and the coming week Matt and I are meeting with our decorator/cake woman, meeting with the officiant, and getting a ton of other stuff done! It's gonna be busy! Talk soon! |

DIY Wedding
Seating chart is complete!
And another DIY checked off my list tonight. I started it last night and finished it about an hour ago. I love how it looks...you can't really tell in the pictures but I added rhinestones to the damask designs in the middle of the frame. Sparkly!
I can't believe there's only 9 more sleeps left! But as you see I work well under pressure...I'm getting my stuff done aren't I? I procrastinate so much, it's unreal. I knew I'd be doing all this within the last few pressing weeks. haha :) |

DIY Wedding
Table numbers are complete!
I literally just finished the table numbers...and I love them! They came out great! My dad put the base and dowel together for me. Thanks to dad for his handy work...and I painted them, put the numbers in the frame and glued the frames on the dowels.
They are simple white but it's exactly what I wanted and I love how they look! Here comes my wave of excitement again....Eeeeps! =) |

Here are some more of my wedding buys! My favorites are my custom made clutch of course, and my dress label. I've had sooo much stuff made for me off etsy and I'm impressed with it all. Everything you see if from etsy except for the candles which I bought from Michaels and the earrings which were bought off ebay.
The brooch and flowers that are on the clutch is detachable. So it can be taken off completely or placed anywhere on the clutch. This is by far one of my favorite buys...it's even prettier in person! |

Marrige license

Matt picked up our marriage license the other day! One step closer. I actually cannot believe there's only 2 weeks left! I'm starting to get excited now again...it tends to come in waves when we get things done!
We'll be meeting with our officiant soon to go over the ceremony details and give him our papers. |

Centerpiece
mock-ups...Oooooh I love it!
So I finished putting together the centerpiece mock-ups tonight. And I think they look beautiful! The only difference from these to the ones on the wedding day will be the number of flowers...each vase will have 6 instead of 5 and the color...it's basically the same but the daisies will be a tad darker and have a black center not a yellow one. The ones I have ordered are much more dramatic in color. And you may not really be able to tell but I have "diamond" crystals scattered on the overlay and runner. They catch the light beautifully and really sparkle!

Matt and I have been together for almost 11 years, we've been engaged for almost 2 years now, and we've finally set a date and started planning. The reason we waited so long was so I could go back to school and get that done, seeings as it was more of a priority. And now with graduation comming up soon and wedding planning and hopefully house hunting within the next year it's all so hectic but very fun and exciting! I cannot wait for our big day. As of right now I want my colors to be red with black and white damask. Love, love, love damask! Apparently like a lot of other brides. :) But the red my be subject to change, we'll see...yup...changing it now...it will be Aqua. :)
