damask photo backdrop

I went out this weekend and bought this amazing damask fabric to make a photo backdrop to have at the reception. I came across this a while ago in one of my many google searches and thought it was too cute!

Our guests can stand in front of it and have their photos taken. We'll also have some pictures taken in front of it. I just love this idea! And it's so simple.

I don't know yet if I'll have it hanging freely from a tree or a line or if I'm going to nail it to board and prop it up against something, but either way it'll be outside (weather permitting.) The fabric is very sheer as you can tell from the pictures it will catch the sun beautifully. The damask pattern itself is flocked.

I got it at a fabric store here in St. John's called Fabricville. I wanted black and white but they didn't have any damask patterns in black and white...so I settled for this one, I do love it though!

Now, I have seen many damask prints, but this one is drop dead gorgeous! I haven't seen this one here, but I've seen your black and white one. Isn't that funny? I love this!  How many yards did you have to buy for a photo backdrop? Around 12 yards and how much did it go for per yard? I think they run about $6.99/yard here. Beautiful!

Beautiful fabric, and that's a very cool way to use it!

This looks great! Though I think the white vertical stripes blend in with the white dress a little, but it's okay your pictures still look great.  I've also gotten some pretty low-cost photo backdrops from this site: Photo backdrops
