Frustration
Just no luck at all...
Okay, I have 2 months to the wedding and I can't seem to get anything done! I decided to take 2 days off from work. On the first day I went shopping for shoes...3 malls...3 states...no shoes. On the second day, the wedding coordinator was sick and could not meet with me; my florist showed me what I thought I wanted for centerpieces and no I am not so sure I even like them; AND I get a phone call that the favors I ordered 2 1/2 months ago will not be available to ship until after my wedding. Are you kidding me?! Even when I do get things done, they end up not being done! So after 2 days off, I am back to the drawing board regarding favors; unsure of my centerpieces; have yet to finalize my menu; AND HAVE NO SHOES!

Ask a Question
How long have you been together?
How long has it been since the 2 of you got together? With the exception of a few "breaks" (probably totaling 6 months or so), we have been together for almost 22 years. So I guess I was just wondering if there were any other couples here that had long-term relationships before deciding to get married.

Bridesmaids
As luck would have it, my MOH and I both agreed on the very 1st dress she tried on. We both also agreed she will not be showing this much cleavage!

Wedding Dress
Finally found the one!
Okay, I'm indecisive. I know that. Everyone who knows me, knows that. Did I ever think I would have such a hard time picking a dress? Should have known. I tried on over 30 gowns. Last night I had my decision down to 2. Then the nightmares came and this morning I was back up to 4. Made ANOTHER trip to the bridal shop. Hated all them all by the time I tried them on, so I started trying on more. Thank God my MOH was with me - love you Tam! - she was so good to me. All of a sudden I put one on and really liked it. Then I tried on others. Then I tried on the previous "final 2". I went back to the new one again. AND THEN I BOUGHT IT!
I think one of my problems was that my sister and friends took a lot of pictures of me in the different gowns and then I had a lot of time to study them. So I'd like 1 one day and then hate the way it looked on me the next. I guess it was a blessing in disguise after all and finally I can say "I knew when I put it on". Now I feel like a real bride. |
