How long have you been together?

How long has it been since the 2 of you got together? With the exception of a few "breaks" (probably totaling 6 months or so), we have been together for almost 22 years. So I guess I was just wondering if there were any other couples here that had long-term relationships before deciding to get married.

We have been together for 5 years, closer to 6 by the time our wedding comes around.

I've known my FH for 8 years, and we've been together 4.5 years..Everyone knows when the time is right, some are later the others.. : )

we have been together for 2 years and 2 months and got engaged after a year and 3 month .. and we have been living together for a year.

2 and a half years. I will be just over 3 years when we marry. He proposed a couple od days after our two year mark.

we have only been together for 10 months!
but i have no doubt in my mind that i wanna give myself 2 only him for the rest of my life.
i was w/ my ex for 4.5 years & never once hve i ever felt this way! were lke gum! we live 2gether, and i can't stand 2 be w/out him. when i explain the way i feel about this guy-i tear up.
he's amazing in every way & i couldn't have asked for a better blessing.
i was a party girl before i met him. clubbin/bar hoppin every weekend. very immature. nothin else mattered but drinking w/ tha girls.
he came along & changed everything. i've given up all of it. & don't miss it @ all. if we do something we do it as a couple.

Me and my hunny bunny have been together for 2 and a half years so far but by the time our wedding gets here it will be close to 3 years! We are absolutely inseperable. We've lived together the WHOLE time we have been together and I wouldn't have it any other way...I'm gla I got to learn of his bad habits early and was able to get used to them.

We've been together for 3 years and have lived together for 2 years. It'll be close to 4 years when we get married next August!

In January, it'll be 7 years since we first started dating...with no breaks I'm happy to say lol!!  And on 6/7/08, we just celebrated our 5 year anniversary from when we got engaged (this would've been our "dream wedding date" but due to financial reasons and what not...it just didn't work out).  So by the time we get married in May, it'll be 7.5 years of dating and just shy of 6 years being engaged!!

Well we've been together 10 months..and engaged for 8...

...lol.

I'm sure that raised alot of eyebrows, but I told my family a month after I met him that I was going to marry him, started dating 3 months later (we had been friends before), told eachother 2 weeks in that we were getting married and 2 months in proposed! We got engaged extremely early, but I have never been happier with anyone, or could want anything more in a guy. We are sickeningly (as we've been told by our family) happy... He's the one :D

It will be 2 years next month and when we get married we will be together 2 years and 9 months. yay! We knew each other for about a year before we ever actually started dating.

Two and a half years now, almost exactly 3 years to the day from when we first got together to our wedding.  We knew each other in high school though 10 years ago (but weren't friends).  We started dating and practically moved in together about 3 weeks later.  We've actually been living together for almost 2 years now.  Sometimes it just works (despite my Mother's insistence that it was all going too fast and would fall apart).  Congratulations on 22 years!  That is one marriage that is pretty much guaranteed to stick!

we were together for a month before he proposed. We've been together for nearly 18 months now. We'd known each other for a year before we dated though. so in the whole scheme of things... no, not long at all! haha.

going on 13 months!  engaged for about 9 of them!  still over a year and a half to the wedding though.  i'd been with my ex for 2.5 years, another one a few months freshman year in high school and then a couple months senior year (so kinda a "thing" for 4 years) ...anyway my point is it was ok but this ones different!  & we're young so we have a long life ahead of us..well, as long as long marriages go...hopefully!  =]

22 Years, thats amazing,May you continue to see the blessing of your flourished relationship...We have been together for 1 year and one month, he proposed on my birthday, exactly one year after i met him.. i love him so much and through all I have been through with my ex (2.5 yrs) I know this is the way love is suppose to feel.

Wow 22 years.  Congrats!  My new husband and I were together for five years before he proposed.  What honestly raised the most eyebrows with us though was how young we are - 20 myself and 21 for him.
