This is lifekid's Red Wedding!

These are pics my son Maverick had taken of the day but we will get our pro pics in 3 weeks. I would recomend this to anyone that is thinking about it. My dress was not wrecked in any way at all, just wet and a bit of sand which the dry cleaners will have out in a jiffy. There were funny times, romantic times so ya I say go for it. We did the shoot at a huge renovation that my husband (lol) is working on, the customer just thought it was the best thing. She keep saying she's have work done and live entertainment, such a understanding lady.
We werent really sure how to go about the poses but our photographer just said be yourself and go for it. Thats what we did and it was just magical, all the stress was now gone and we could enjoy being husband and wife. We did how ever get a crowd forming on the beach. FANTASTIC time

Oh what a day!!! It started off with "good luck rain" and then clear skies all afternoon. My petals didnt stay on the runner but I hear it was very pretty watching them blow down the green lol. I will be back in a few days to update my words but for now I will just leave you with pics.

Sure it has been raining all night and this morning so far, my truck has water spots, another person said they cant come, I had to sleep alone due to the ol superstition but its all good cause Im ready to go.
Today at 3 I will become a Mrs. and 3 hearts beome one family. Wish me luck ladies that everything goes as planned !!!! See you all when I get back with tons of pics

Fh bought a hole box after the long weekend and we planned on using them but just didnt (and still dont) know where. We tried them out in the backyard just to see how easy or hard it would be to spell with them and it was so much easier then we thought. The shutter speed on the camera jsut has to be set very low and when you spell out the letters you dont move extra fast, just normal speed LOL
I need to ask the advice of our hall organiser to see when she thinks will be a dark enough time an dproper time to use them. I know you ladies would help but I never did post a time line for the day soo its hard to say I know. So here are some pics from our back yard, It was my son, my mom amd I with FH taken the pic. We have both lost grandparents but know that they will be watching from above so we wanted to honour their memory. We have gathered the latest pictures of them before they got ill and had them all printed out in 5x7 size, they will be displayed by our signing picture with random tea lights around them as our guests in spirit. I wont post pics of the final product out of respect but truly they mean the world to me. I was always grandpas little sucky, he actually called me his gypse and my diamond wedding band has a gypse setting, how fitting? It will be a hard day for me in memory of him but like I said earlier I know he is somewhere laughing and I know he would be proud!
My second father goes in for surgery tomorrow at 11 AM so he will not be able to make it along with my second Mom but I did make time to go visit them this week and took out a "goodie basket" of our favours, 2 candles and holders that will be on the tables, 2 water bottles with our custom lables.....everything I could think of so that they felt like they would be there. If the hospital allows it they plan on lighting the candles at 7 in the hspital and toast to us with the water. I cried so hard when they told me this, I said that I too would be toasting to them with my FH and our son at the same time. Oh I love them so much, they were parents and grandparents when they didnt have to be

I cant wait to be Mrs. H, I will carry his name proud. All this planning has been very hard work but I see how it is all coming together and im so pleased. Its only 4 more days away and I want it to be tomorrow.
My day will start off with my son and I enjoying a nice breakfast together with our doggies of course,my MOH will come out with Tim Hortons and that will be the sign to start the chaos. My son will go will the guys for set up and running around while me and MOH get my hair done and dresses picked up. Our mothers and step mothers are suppose to be waiting at my MOH house so we can all get our make up done but you never know with this group of caddy women, Im not stressing about what may happen here because I have asked them to all get along for me on this special day and what they chose to do is up to them. For me at this point in the day its all about relaxing and enjoy every moment that comes, my son is to arrive in my new truck to pick up me and the MOH and escourt us to the church where I will really try to catch a sneek peek at whats going on so my girl will have her hands full with me LOL. Oh I just cant wait.......

Im not very happy right now with the way it turned out, I have been looking at my own face for about 15 mins now and theres just something not right to me about the look. I normally dont wear alot of makeup so at first I thought well thats gotta be it but.... When she first did it and asked what I thought it was much to dark for me so she toned it down but I still think its to dark. I did ask FH too and he wasnt a big fan but also told me that maybe she did it a bit darker so that it will bring out my eyes for the camera, but thought it shoudl be a bit softer. What do you ladies think?

Feeling very blue and alone these days which is not suppose to be the case "Im the bride".
Throughout my life I have always been a giver to anyone that needed help rather I knew them or not ,this is what I hear from friends and family. But what I dont understand is why they have all just disapeared when I need them now! I have always been super close to my moms side of the family infact I was Grandpas "little gypsy", they took me on trips every summer and when grandpa passed away a few years ago grandma leaned on me. We gather for almost every occasion you can think of LOL. Well I was unable to make all functions for the past 4 years due to a car accident so I didnt like to travel but I would make up for it and hold a BIG Christmas dinner for everyone. Now Im stuck trying to track them down during their summer vacations to see if they even recieved their invites because they have not bother to rsvp and the cut off date was July 31. Have they just taken me for granted for all these years? Thats how Im feeling about them right now and I know thats cruel to think.
As for my fathers side, woowzers there are way to many for me to keep track of. I was however a dads girl until he and mom my went there seperate ways and I stayed back to look after mom. I was very close throughout my childhood with my dads side but it seems like since the car accident they dont even bother to call anymore. Heck I bought myself and my son a house and not 1 had ever come to look at it EVER. Simaliar story about the RSVP's here except I have got ahold of over half through facebook ,but they are not coming and dont bother to give a reason.
My sister and I get along best when we dont see eachother but even she said "dont bother inviting me because your day will be just fine without me" Now what kind of sister says that?
Our Pastor which has been a very dear and close friend had to back down because he is becoming an American citizen and due to legal proceddings can not leave the country now. This was hard news to swallow because nobody had a clue it was coming, see someone know someone from his church and they got the wheels turning faster then normal. I still cry almost eveynight over this. My second parents (not really but they are so close with me and my son) cant not make it as of last week because of a new health issuie and he actually goes in for surgery 2 days before the wedding. I feel so bad that I can not be there for them everyday but we call of e-mail instead.She has given me my something old and something borrowed and it made me cry happy tears. I have moved to where my FH owns his house due to his business and really have no friends out here so you ladies are what I coulnt on for advice.
Now what else can go wrong? Do you ladies have these issuies at all?

So tonight the future hubby and I went to finalize our cake order, what a relief because the big day is only 14 away wowzers!
The picture is what we both agreed on for the style that we like and if you have read any of my other posts you will see that my FH has alot of involvment with all the decisions. Sometimes its good but on a night like tonight it was really trying. What should have taken maybe 1/2 hour tops took almost an hour and forty five minutes.
So the top of our cake will be the same size as the middle section of the pic which is about 8 inches I think and will be a lemon cake with strawberry puree as a filling, the middle layer is fake and the size of the lowr teir in the pic, the final bottom layer will be a 20 inch fake as well, the whole thing will be cover in white fondent icing with small black dots, our ribbon is black with small white dots. Now you may ask what about the guests what will they eat. HA got that covered too.
Between the middle and bottom layer there are clear balls to seperate the cakes and thats where the cupcakes sit along with in front of the cake on the table. The cupcake flavours are marble cake with chocolate filling and vanilla with maple filling. All the cupcakes are iced with regular white icing an will have a small red icing flower on top. We will also have red roses on top and petals scattered on the table with tea lights lit.
Ok so it may sound a bit confussion but man this cake will be so yummy. Im sure the guests will love it too.

So we came across the sweetest boy that at the young age of 14 (looks so much younger) plays like a pro. We had a meeting with his parents to ask their permission if he could play at our reception and they were just so thrilled at teh idea. Mostly he plays classical but we thought we would hand him our updated music and wow the boy had it mastered in less then a week, one of the songs was "Halo by Beyonce". I cant wait for the day that him and I both kinda make our debut LOL.
*****UPDATE**** the day afetr typing this he called and backed out AUGHHHH what else could possably go wrong!!
As for our reception we will be having a D.J. that provides dry ice for our first dance, which we have no chossen yet ( oh no its so hard). I have made a playlist of sorts for him so that he can see just what kind of music we like. What do you girls think? I love your opinions because I know they are not bias.
