HELP!!
My wedding Dress has oil spots(dirt)on Dress!

I'm so upset,my BEAUTIFUL dress has oil spots on the tip(the top of the dress!
the oil is caused from the hands,I hope when I get it steamed it will come out,you cant see it unless your looking for it..
this being my wedding dress I LOOKED my dress over up and down..
I'm getting the back of my dress made in to corset back.
I have gained some weight and my breast are now to big for the top :(
I have gained some weight,maybe so stressed over the wedding not to sure but im not taking any chances so I'm HAVING IT DONE THIS WEEK!! hoping she can help me with getting the light oil marks out :(
if any one has any idea on getting it out,please tell me,thanks

I am so sorry .I heard those tide wipes work really well on oily spots if not try shout that really works on oil and so does oxy clean I have three kids and cant stand stains.I hope this helps The corset back should do the trick and im sure it will look beautiful.God Bless

That sucks!! Just do NOT attempt to get it out yourself..you could make it worse. Leave it to a pro for this one!!

It shouldn't be a problem to get it out. It happens a lot.
I've cleaned so many dresses.
Most satin or taffeta dresses are a polyester blend nowadays so you can usually use a mild detergent to 'spot' clean marks.
However, if your dress is a raw silk, or any kind of silk I would have it professionally cleaned. The tag should be somewhere in your dress.

I had grease makeup (stage makeup) on my dress that had rubbed off my tattoo covered arm. After our wedding I used sunlight dish detergent and washed my whole dress in the bath tub. It turned out beautiful. Now I have it on display in my design studio.
