So, yeah, it's over... I realize I shouldn't be marring someone who doesn't seem to be sure himself what it is that he wants and puts everything, and I mean everything in from of me and our relationship. The only reason why I stayed with him for over 5 years was because he was the first guy I fell in love with. But I guess it wasn't meant to be.

My best friend just did the same thing. They were together 5 years also. She realized that she was the relationship. Confrats on being strong enough to realize it and do what is right.

I am sorry to hear this. But if he is not sure of himself, then he is not ready for marriage period. Perhaps he is not ready for the "forsaking all others" thing. It is best now then later to find this out. I wish you the best. Be strong. And It'll all be ok. It gets better all the time. I am divorced. I am better now then I ever was. Moving on gave me wings. Have faith.

I'm not going to say sorry about this situation. Let's be joyous and celebrate for not mistaking a big problem in your life later on! At least it not after spending thouands of dollars and 1/2 of everything later. Be happy and live one day at a time, stress free...

Everything happens for a reason. Be appreciative that you learned this now. This is a life's lesson. Take what you can from it to know more, be better and know in the future - EXACTLY what you want for yourself in life. Forever is a really long time and you want to be happy and only do it once. Best of luck to you. I know it is hard right now, but time will make it easier.

I went through this same situation with my ex. Didn't know what he wanted in life. We were suppose to get married but when it came down to the planning he got cold feet and said he didn't want to get married. I even asked him if he was sure about getting married. Now I am stress free and made a good decision to dump him. Now I have found that ONE, that I love ver much. So maybe the ONE is out there for you too.
