This is lisacuba's Chocolate Wedding!

My aunt gave me a beautiful vintage (1940') necklace to wear that was my grandmothers and now trying to find matching earrings on the Net. Vintage jewely is so expensive here Canada and can't believe how cheap it is in the US. Here are some ideas.

I am trying to grow out my short hair style and do not know how long it will be by the day, so not sure what to do!! I like the curls as it can be done with shorter hair and not really an up do kind of girl. Any suggestions? Remember I will almost be 46 by then an't pick something too young.

I will have white and brown paper lanterns along with brown satin runners and many candles in gold, brown and bronze colors rather than the original pink/orange that was going to have in Cuba. Will also put battery operated white paper lanterns on tables (found for a steal on ebay). The ceremony and reception will be held in the same place and will be at night so will be lit by candles only.

My Matron of Honor is making my cake. It will be similar to the pictures with orange roses and chocolate colored ribbon.

My cousin will be my Matron of Honor and she has just ordered her dress this past week and is similar to the chocolate one in the pics in taffeta.

Will stay at the Grand Caribe Club Puntarena in Varadero, Cuba for the honeymoon and some of the guests that were coming to the beach wedding are still going to party with us so will be a blast. Dan and I will go to Havana for a couple of days alone and should be beautiful.

Dan and I have been together since February of 2007. We were engaged by July 3 and we discussed the marriage topic very early (within a couple of months). Decided to go out one day and found my ring within a few minutes and adore it. Will put picture on soon. 3/4 carat solitaire - gorgeous and have never seen one like it.

I found my dress very quickly on my first visit to a salon and will be ordering at end of this month. These two dresses are as close as I can find on the web. It is ivory organza and strapless which was not what I was looking for but fell in love with is soon as I saw it on the hanger and it looked good. I found the organza veil on ebay for $25.00 and tried it on with the dress at the fitting and was a perfect match to the dress.

My bouquet is going to be off white roses and all other flowers will be different shades of orange, red and even found gorgeous brown roses at Costco and doing DIY centrepieces.
