Wedding Favors
I'm such a girl sometimes!
So I usually am not a girly girl.... but when it comes to weddings omg I am such a dorky mushball.
I have been trying to find the perfect favor boxes to fit our personalized M&Ms or whatever we decide later on and everything I've seen, which believe me is A LOT! Just wasnt peaking my wedding day interest.... until today! so much so that I actually bought them hahaha 15 months before the wedding hahaha The theme is the entwined heart so lord knows these were a must! HAPPPPPPPPY and the darn picture isnt working :( |

Memorials
How to honor my dad....
So my father passed away Jan 26th of this year, tragically he was murdered, and if that wasnt enough, it was my mom who did it, then tried to kill herself..... reasons we will never understand until trial.
This leads me to our wedding, where I will have neither parents, but most importantly I wont have my dad to walk me down the aisle to give me away, or gloat and boast about how amazing I am, and how proud he is.... and no father daughter dance..... Sure I have alternates for these.... but it isnt the same.... Along with a memorial table with special dad things, pictures and his urn..... I am having my dad walk me down the aisle, on my bouquet! A picture buckle tied to my bouquet with his picture Perfect! |

Wedding Flowers
Silky goodness
So I am using silk flowers, mostly because the type of colours of flowers I would be using are too hard or too pricey to find.
Also, it is much nicer to my sinuses to use silk hehe last thing I want when Im posing for pictures is a big red nose and bloodshot eyes :p So good team go! This way my bridesmaid can keep theirs and the grandmas etc can keep their hand flowers hehe |

Wedding Favors
OMG so awesome!
So I am a big goof, and so is my fiance. We have unique personalities and love just having fun and being funny
But for some reason we have been having a hard time figuring out what type of favor to give our amazing family and friends. Well hot damn, I was at this great little party shop the other day and what did I see???!! Black and white, and red and white lollipops with stickers to print off personal labels! I figure this is a great idea to reflect our silly nature and add to the favor to give it just the cute/sweet factor haha An idea for sure! We also found the entwined hearts in a candle holder and that is pretty perfect too.... haha good thing I have lots of time to decide :p |

Wedding Dress
Something Old....
So James and I were engaged back in 2008, heck I was even on this site, we were going to have a halloween wedding..... welll things didnt work out....
After the death(murder) of my dad in January of this year, James dropped everything and came to help and be there for my brother, son and I. Clearly things had changed for the better with both of us. So we have both grown up, but I kept all the wedding attire from before(it's freakin hard to convince someone to pay a decent amount for an unused dress, and I would honestly have bought it again so why not keep it) So I have the jewellry, tiara, shoes,veil, dress etc haha score!!! |

Inspiration Board
So much inspiration, I may need 2 weddings!
I've always been a creative chick, so when it was wedding time I was an internet wizard, trying to find the perfect things that reflected us.
I already knew what type of centerpiece etc etc but it had to be just right..... sooooooo what I did was literally just save every picture I came across so I can take little bits of each and make the wedding decor reflect us so perfectly! We had looked at rings for months, knowing his and my tastes for jewellry were VERY different hehe
Well we both fell in love with one, and of course me being a nurse and busy with my 8 year old and the death of my dad this year, I forgot all about it We were at Stanley Park, Prospect Point, in a daisy field. When I turned around there he was on one knee with the most beautiful smile, and ring. Of course I said yes!!! |
