Memorials - How to honor my dad.... - LITTLEDEVILBRIDE's Red Wedding by Color Blog

So my father passed away Jan 26th of this year, tragically he was murdered, and if that wasnt enough, it was my mom who did it, then tried to kill herself..... reasons we will never understand until trial.

This leads me to our wedding, where I will have neither parents, but most importantly I wont have my dad to walk me down the aisle to give me away, or gloat and boast about how amazing I am, and how proud he is.... and no father daughter dance..... Sure I have alternates for these.... but it isnt the same....

Along with a memorial table with special dad things, pictures and his urn.....

I am sorry to hear that, i wouldnt even know how to cope! I hope your day still turn out ok and despite all the tragedy in your life you are able to still smile! This is a great way to honor your dad!

Im truly sorry girlie i know how bad it hurts my wedding is in 4 days and my dad passed away last year in July from a four wheeler accident I was one of the people who performed cpr on my dad and it still hurts me that i couldnt do anything to bring him back so i know how bad you hurt and girlie i have a picture of my bouquet on my blog if you want to check it out there is tons of pictures of my dad in my bouquet he is through out the flowers and on the ribbons hanging down The day my dad passed away moments before he got on the four wheeler he was talking to me about my wedding he had known about it before he passed and was talking to me about how proud he was of my and fhubby he loved my fiance like he was his son and that meant so much to me so girlie i know your dad will be so proud of you and i bet your wedding is going to be so beautiful and dont worry i dont think your dad would miss your wedding for nothing he will be there right beside you the whole way through :D again im sorry for your loss

I'm sorry for your loss. This is a beautiful way to cope and to include your dad in on your joyous day. He'll be there in spirit as well as your wonderful memory on your wedding day. I think this is a beautiful way to honor your dad. I bet he'd be proud.

I am so sorry for you! How awful, I can't begin to imagine! I have saw this before and think it is a beautiful idea! I have lost all but one gradnparent, and so I have also thought of doing this for my late grandmas and granpa.

Thank you ladies! My dad would be so excited knowing james and i are engaged again, he always loved james like a son, even at his worst.

Life happens in odd ways, some good some bad..... but life keeps going. I have an amazing son and fiance so what better way to wake up everyday despite all the other crap xoxo

So So sorry for your lost but thanks for the idea my dad died last year and had no idea who could fill his shoes to walk me but I may just use your idea.
