So I'm at the end of day 3 of my paleo diet, and so far it hasn't been as hard as I thought! Yes I've definitely had my moments of temptation but then I figure with the amount of effort i'm putting into my work outs Its not worth it!
I walked into the lunchroom at work today and there were litterally free peices of apple pie sitting on the table...
Then at dinner they were offering pudding!!!! I said no to both!!! Im so proud of myself :)
I am ACHING sore and sometimes I feel like I'm starving (but im not really starving, i'm just craving the bad foods) but i feel very confident right now that i can make this work :)
Here's some of the things i've been eating so far on my paleo diet:
Scrambled eggs for breakfast with an orange
seasoned chicken breast with sauteed vegetables
Turkey Chili (my fave so far)
and then pretty much just any veggie or fruit i want as a snack!
That's all for now! :)
Oh, and a co-worker who has done this diet before told me that when I find myself feeling still hungry after meals its becuase for the firt little while my body will still be craving sugar and she told me to drink some tea with honey...I havent tried it yet but i thought this was a helpful hint to any of you other brides doing the Paleo diet!

how did u turn down apple pie...mmmm....extra points for u :)
Thanks for all the encouragement girls! It really makes a huge difference knowing I have you girls cheering me on :)
I encourage you all to try it if you really want to! I actually find I feel a lot better, even after only 4 days...
yesterday I do have to admit I cheated a bit, because I was running late for work and didn't have time to get more groceries or plan my meals, so i stopped at Tim Horton's and had a bowl of soup. I made sure there were no noodles in it though, it was strictly vegetable! I then cheated once more (:( ) becuase i went to a halloween party and I was starving because I hadn't eaten in a long time, and all they had was turkey on a bun served with chips...therefore a had a small handful of chips and I did eat the bun because just the turkey wouldn't have been enough to fill me! I can tell you though that after eating the chips and bread I felt really crappy, I dont know if it's because my body was starting to get used to all the healthy food, or if it was just in my head because of guilt...but today is a new day and i feel confident i can pick up where i left off! :)
That all being said i DO allow myself to have little things that aren't on the paleo diet list, such as a little bit of milk, a pinch of salt here and there, and a small amount of butter on things that need a little more flavour. I am the type of person that if i force myself to be too strict i will fail and binge eventually.
Good luck to all of you who try!!! Keep me posted :)
Oh, and I plan on posting pictures once I start to see some results :)
;)
