Happy Valentine's day ladies!
Sean and I never really celebrate Valentine's day because we kind of feel like its a money grabbing day...Don't get me wrong, we always say "happy valentine's day" and we try to spend the night together by renting a movie or the odd year we'll go for dinner, but we never go all out and buy cards and gifts or anything over the top... But this year my love completely surprised me and he bought me a beautiful necklace! Not only was it sweet because it is Valentine's, but surprisingly in the past 6 years that we've been together the only jewellery he has ever bought me was a bracelet with our initials engraved on our first anniversary and my engagement ring. thats it! I don't wear a lot of jewelery on a daily basis, but i had a cheap heart necklace that I wore quite a bit that broke a couple weeks ago! Sean told me he bought me this heart necklace because he felt bad that i broke my other one! This one is waay better!!! The one i broke was only 5 dollars! lol! Needless to say, i'm very happy :) I can't wait to marry this man!!!! :) Happy love day to you all! I hope you ladies have a special night with your men/loved ones!! |

Bridesmaids
*Bridesmaids Dresses are FINALLY Ordered!*
I am so relieved! We picked the bridesmaids dresses back in November but the order JUST got sent a few days ago! Orignially we were discussing adding a ruffle to the dress but in the end I think it will jsut be too much. The dress is already a bright colour and my dress is also all ruffles on the bottom so i think to add a ruffle to all their dresses will just look too overwhelming!
The dress is Alfred Angelo style 7123 and the colour we ordered it in in called Viola! When my sister and I were wedding dress shopping for her at Alfred Angelo last week I actually got to see the dress we picked in the colour we ordered it in because a girl came to the store to pick up her bridesmaids dress and it was exactly what i ordered for my girls!!! I was very happy!! :) What do you think? The last two pictures are the colour that I ordered the dresses in! x0x |

DIY Wedding
*Guestbook! Thanks to my sister!*
So I am now home from Tampa and I returned with some new wedding things:)
My sister surprised me with an early birthday present and gave me a framed picture of my favourite engagement picture! She also went ABOVE AND BEYOND and surprised me with a wedding guestbook that she made on Shutterfly! It is so beautiful and I cried when I looked through it! She did an awesome job and I love all the pictures she used! I've also added some pics of my new sparkly wedding kicks :) (photos just don't capture how much these puppies actually sparkle) |

I am a bad bad girl. I have a terrible obsession with shoes. Even though I already bought my wedding shoes, I couldn't help but buy these new ones when I saw them at DSW! We dont have a DSW store in Canada and let me tell you that is probably a good thing for my wallet. I love that store!
Anyways I found these amazing shoes and they are regularly priced at $70 but I got them for $50! What a steal! i would have paid $70 for them! lol! You cant tell in this pic but they sparkle SOOO much in person! I think I am going to get my bridesmaids their shoes from that store. I might just order them online! thats all for now! x0x! |

WOW!!! It's been FOREVA! or at least it seems like it~ lol!
So a week ago I decided to book a last minute flight to Tampa on Monday to surprise my sister with a visit :) so i am in Florida until Saturday and its been wonderful so far! I can't recall if I've mentioned this before or not but she got engaged in December to her amazing fiance! She had been very bummed lately because she had to move to Florida to be with him (he is an amercian citizen and was living in Canada but was booted out in September for leaving the country while his visa was processing) and she's having to do all her wedding plans herself. She is getting married on February 9th 2013. So we are dress shopping around the Tampa area this week!!! Can any Tampa brides give us ideas on where the best places to go for wedding dresses are?? :) x0x |

*Looong Day That Ended With The COPS!*
This is totally un wedding related, but I have to share with you girls because I can't believe it happened!
As some of you already know I am a nurse at a nursing home. So I had to work a double shift yesterday (16 hours...). I started my day at 6 am and went to work from 7 am until 11 pm. Work was pretty good and luckily it was not a busy day at all. I did however stay until 11:40 because we ended up having to send someone to the hospital. So I finally headed home after a very loooong day and when i got home all i could think about was jumping into bed. I was taking my scrubs off and realized I still had the keys from work in my pocket, and when that happens it is mandatory to bring them back immediately. So heres where the most embarrassing thing ever happens to me. I go to call work to let them know I have the keys and am bringing them back. I am sooo tired at this point and all I can think about is how work is a 25 minute drive away :( I dial my work number and all of a sudden someone picks up and says: "9-1-1 Do you need fire, ambulance, or police?" OMG> HOW did I just call 9-1-1?????? I told her I have no idea how I called them, and that I jsut got done working a 16 hour shift and am barely functioning mentally. She tells me it happens all the time but she still has to transfer me to the police. So I speak with a police dispatcher who tells me they are obligate to SEND A POLICE CAR over to my house to make sure everything is okay!!!! I am HORRIFIED. The Cop comes and I am waiting for him out in the laneway in my care so that i can right away leave after and return my keys to work. I am so lucky we are out in the country and noone saw. luckily he didnt put his lights on. So he interigated me about why I called. Then I had to explain how this is my fiances parents house and I am sleeping here even though he is at work because I live here. He acted like i was being very fishy and then todl me he wanted to go in the hyouse adn check things outs!!! It is 1 AM and my in-laws are inside sleeping so i asked him to please just trust me! I guess he finally figured that all the lights were off in the house and that I wasn't lying. He took all the information from me that I could possibly give himabout myself and Sean and Seans parents and then left. I then drove back to work. dropped off the keys.. went home to BED finally at 2AM!!! HOW EMBARASSINGG!!!! I finally figured out how it happened! At work when we call out we have to press "9" before we dial the number plus work is a long distance number so i hate to hit "1" before the area code. Since I had been at work all day I by habit pressed "9" to call out on my home phone, and tehn proceded with "1-519...." but the numbers on our home phone are sensitive and i must have ended up punching the one 1 twice! Causing me to dial 9-1-1. MORTIFYING! Have any of you's accidentally called the cops? lol |

*Help Please!!!*
So Fh and I are getting ready to start planning our Stag and Doe (also known as: Jack and Jill, Buck and Doe etc.)!
We are soo excited but at the same time we both realize it's probably going to be soooo stressful up until the actual night! But once the night comes it is going to be partying and dancing with our friends and celebrating our upcoming marriage:) BUT we have been toying around with different theme ideas. I;ve always wanted to host a big theme party, but it also is nervewracking because what if a majority of the people don't dress up or participate! Sean has watched WWE wrestling since he was a little boy and so have most of his groomsmen.,..so they have been fighting for a "wrestling" theme...don't worry ladies, i already told him its not happening. Then today he brought up the idea of having a "famous people" themed stag and doe. It would mean anyone can dress up as a movie or tv character or any celebrity!!! I loved the idea and so do my bridesmaids! One has already called being Betty Boop and another one has called "Snookie" haha! But we need HELP!!! WHAT DO WE CALL OUR STAG AND DOE THEME?!?! I ilke "A night in Hollywood" but Sean thinks it sounds too girly. His original idea was "As Seen on TV" but i think that will make people think about cheap tv ads. Any ideas? P.S if we go with this theme I have an idea to create a "red carpet" photo backdrop! My cousin does photography as a hobby so i might ask him if he will take pictures of people on the red carpet! Just like paparazzi!! :) |

*What's The most Stressful Patrt?*
Hi Ladies!
Just a question, What has been the most stressful part of wedding planning for you ladies so far? For me I'd have to say finding my dress was a nightmare- Glad I finally found the one and i'm in love with it! But my CONSTANT stress is my guest list! I have 258 people on the list for the dinner as of now and about 50 "reception only's"! I hate that I have that many reception onlys but since Fiance and I have such large familys we just can't fit that many extra in our hall for our dinner. The reception onlys include friends that we want to have at the fun part of the reception, and we know they wouldn't be offended by just being invited to the ceremony and the dance, but it still stresses me out...i wish I could just invite everyone to everything!! |
