No one seems to be RSVPing!!! Anyone else in this predicament?
So there's only about 3+ weeks left until our big day and we've only gotten like 60 RSVP's out of the 175 we invited!! We've only recieved one or two RSVP's from my FH's family, and really not that many from friends just yet....and it worries me.

We're planning to give his family another week, and then he and my FMIL will take the list and start calling. How frusterating!!! Not only that, but all of his family lives in the area....so it shouldn't be a big issue!!

On the other hand, though a lot of my family has RSVP'd, there are some where my parents have just simply told me, "Oh yes, I talked to so-and-so, and they told me they are coming." Well great....but can't they send in the RSVP card??? It would be easier to just go through the cards and count everyone up instead of having to go out of our way and remember that "Oh yes, we heard from so-and-so from so-and-so and they are a definite yes."

Oh, and I'd like to mention that our RSVP date was almost a week ago!?!?

I feel like I already am very stressed and working hard to make this event nice and when planning the meal and activities I put a great deal of thought into what everyone would like, as well as what we like....so it seems like they could just throw me a bone and send in their RSVP's. I really feel that I'm not asking too much here!

Is anyone else having problems with people RSVPing?? It's like pulling teeth...and they're all adults!

Uhmm this is one of the biggest issues you have with planning !!! Call them all by the due date ask your MOH help you LOL

you should start calling them now, dont wait ...... Out of 110 people we got about 75 back...which is what we were aiming for.  Most of his family did not RSVP but after calling I know they're not coming.  You probably have a few waiting to see if they have a babysitter or something like that...dont stress & put someone else up to do the calling for u.

Ok, my sister had the same problem two years ago when she got married and never got back half of the cards she sent out. So I decided that I would put the RSVP by email or phone. That way they can email me or call and leave me a voicemail if I'm not home. Much easier that way they can just leave the card by the phone and they don't even have to make a trip to the mailbox to send it back. So far, I'm still waiting on responses and people can't even manage to do that!!!! It's totally frustrating. People are doing the same thing...running into my mom at the mall and going "oh yeah we're coming". It's hard cause then my mom is going "oh I wish they would just call you instead". I've already sent out a few emails asking for responses but I'm going to start calling soon too. If you are only 3 weeks away I'd start calling now!

I'm having the exact same problem.  They have about a week left to RSVP and we barely have any in.  Yet several people have told us they are coming.  I started to freak out but then we decided to simply plan for 150.  It's very stressful and it has been making me anxious.  So we simply settled for the the estimation alternative.

i feel  your stress!! about 95% of my fiances family did not RSVP..and we did not call them, Infact, we did not call anybody, if you did not send them in, then you will not be able to get into the reception(i have gate security), and i told everybody that got invited this(including his family!), i even put return stamps on them(what a waste!!).

i feel sorry for them, thats about all i can do.

I had the same trouble my cut-off is today and well Brian can call his (S) friends to see if they are coming........Only need to check on (14) people.

I had something like taht, so i sent out an reminder email, and then they started to pour in....we ended up with only 1 person we havent heard from yet but we still hope they show up....good luck
