Where is my dress?? Is anyone still waiting and cutting it close?
Well the shipment was a bit delayed, which is really making me nervous, cause once it comes in I still have alterations probably! Called the bridal shop and they said it should be coming in sometime in the next few days and will call me as soon as it does.

I'm just a little worried because my FH and I are going to his family reunion in Vermont for a week and we're leaving in two days! I was hoping I could squeeze in my fitting before we left, but since the order is behind, we're going to be cutting it CLOSE. Once we're back, there's only going to be two weeks left untill the big day!!!

I think all I'll need is a bustle to be added and possibly taken in at the top. I ordered the shortest floor length they offer, so I'm hoping it'll be short enough so it won't have to be hemmed.

What have you had to get altered on your dresses and how long have your alterations been taking???

Didnt you get your dress "hollow to hem" where they measure you from the hollow of your neck to your feet (with the shoes that you are wearing with it.) I will be ordering my dress hollow to hem as well so no hemming is required on that part of the dress. the only place it will need to be taken in is on the boob part im sure.. lol im sure your dress will be gorgeous.. dont worry it will all come together.. goodluck

dont stress! my dress just came in last week, my second & last fittings tom. and since its so close to my wedding (july 26th) there bringing me in on a slow day so if i need anything else altered they'll do it on the spot.......So as far as alterations u should be fine ...good luck!

It could be just me...but I would be stressed.  Contact the salon where you ordered and confirm that the moment they receive that you will be scheduled for a fitting.  At the first fitting confirm when the dress will be ready for pick-up.
