Pretty self explanatory, found this lovely on twig and thistle, ordered our own boxes and will be packaging them a bit closer to the day, a sweet treat to wrap up a sweet night hopefully!

I saw this idea on http://www.projectwedding.com/wedding-ideas/diy-wedding-challenge-2010-scrabble-magnet-favors and had to do it, so sweet and simple, the hardest part was getting enough letters to make the words, but lots of etsy sellers and thrift shopping made it possible, I'm looking for the tins now and then we are going to make these
Update: We decided to just use the scrabble letter holders and have love and wedding related words set up around the reception tables, sticking with smore kits as favors |

Strawberry Shortcake
We are skipping traditional wedding cake and treating our guests to strawberry shortcakes with delicious home made biscuits, locally grown berries topped with whipped cream.
I have an aunt who makes the biggest, fluffiest biscuits that I've ever tasted and she is more than willing to bake a few batches the night before for us as a wedding gift. So delicious! |

That is the theme we are running with!
Please excuse my absence things have been uber hectic in our lives lately and finally getting back on track. I've been drawn to so many fancy weddings but we have kept on the sweet and simple bandwagon and I think staying sane because of it. Our wedding is pretty much laid out just got to get everything together before August. Our guest list is sitting at 85 people, we worked on inviting our closest friends and dearest family only which is hard coming from big families and not wanting to hurt families but everyone has been understanding thus far, we are making it a weekend event since no one ever really gets together. Friday evening my parents are hosting a meet and greet. Saturday is wedding day, ceremony will be early afternoon, we'll have games set up for guests to play while we do photos, then a bbq buffet style dinner, I'm really hoping people get up and dance, but I know FH's family isn't big on it and I'm not sure about my own but I'll boogey a bit Then we're having a camp fire roast and giving out s'more kits as favors, breaking out acoustic guitars and tambourines and having a good old fashioned jamboree session. Sunday late morning will be a Thank You brunch Looking forward to it, really it cannot come soon enough! |

I LOVE this!
Top Picture: A family recipe dessert display, the bride and groom's families each brought a dessert that was their specialty instead of having just a cake. Best part we could just buy some aqua and red chinese take out containers slap our wedding monogram on them and they are take home favors too! Bottom Picture: Talk about practical escort cards, mason jars that have the guests name and table number, and also act as a drinking glass. Perfect!!! |

Once these are printed we are putting a heart sticker over the 21 for our wedding date and then mailing them cute envelopes that I kept from a valentines set with heart designs decorating the envelope.

Love these colors together! Pink would be minimal mostly in flowers, jewellery, little details, red and blue will be the main ones I love the contrast. This board is just too adorable and perfect for inspiration
