The day... now I'm a Mrs.
Just the perfect day
Haven't posted in forever... Just trying to get myself organized from the wedding. I cataloged all my stuff to sell and have had good response so far. Still waiting on the professional pics but know they'll be great.
Keith and I have both described the day as better then both of us could have ever imagined. It didn't rain on our day - it was bloody hot - but we could deal with that. A few mishaps behind the scenes but family and friends just fixed things for us before anyone could even tell or us and we only found out after the fact. Now onto our next adventure.... the rest of our lives and our darling baby due October 21. Happy the wedding day is over so I can take better care of my self (no stress) and get ready for baby. If there are any pregnant brides-to-be out there looking for a perfect dress please contact me!! |

Ask a Question
Lots of no RSVPs... have enough room to ask those invited to dance only to come to dinner. How do I do this politely without offending?
So our original guest list got out of control because of my FHs last minute add-ons to the list and our parents add-ons. I was super worried about capacity for the dinner but now we have had a lot of declines. As we have the room now and I didn't like the original idea of inviting people only to the dance I would like to invite them to the dinner as well. How do I do this without offending them?

Wedding Hair Style
Hair trial... not happy
What to do....?? I don't have a hairdresser that I trust with my life here as we haven't been here that long. I was recommended to this lady at the salon I have been going to and was shocked I had to pay $115 for a trial! Like I was thinking between $65-85.
I wanted more height but because I couldn't see very good (glasses were off) when she was doing it I didn't/couldn't tell if it looked right. Like maybe it wasn't the right style for my hair but who knows..... It doesn't look much like the picture and when I was giving the lady comments she was like offended. I don't like how the curls look like uniform blobs, she didn't even curl them she twisted them with her fingers then pinned. Picture 004 was taken 10 minutes after and its falling and looks stupid. It wasn't until I got home and looked at the pictures did I realize how much I hate it. Oh what to do??? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Update.... I talked to a few people in the industry and they agreed that I should move salons or try to talk to the stylist. After the poor response I had from my feedback I wasn't confident the stylist would care how unhappy and worried I was. I was recommended to another salon and surprisingly they still had availability for my whole party and the price was right. On top of it they offer (recommend) free consultations with stylists and I met with Taylor yesterday and she listened and recommended and... I just feel so much better about this change. I picked my original salon based on location and proximity to my make-up and this salon is still very close. hanging up the style slightly and plan to have another trial at some point. Yippee the crisis is averted!! |

DIY Wedding
DIY Card box $40.00
I put my parents on making the card box. We found fairly inexpensive boxes at this local store creativepackaging.ca. Two of the boxes came in the perfect silver and then my Dad just gift wrapped the other two with paper bought at Ikea. Just need to add an embellishment to the top to finish it off.

Ask a Question
Kissing during dinner - how to make our guests work for it?
In Canada it is a pretty common tradition that if you don't have something arranged the bride and groom could spend the whole dinner hr kissing because of guests clinking glasses.
So MCs and the bride and groom usually come up with a creative idea to make the guests work for the kiss. At my brother's recent wedding the MC came up with the brilliant idea to have the guests score a whole in one in order to make the bride and groom kiss. Some other ideas I have heard in the past: -Guests have to tell a story about the bride or groom -Guests have to sing a son What have you and your MC decided if anything? Looking for ideas. Less then 2 months the countdown is on. http://www.twojsmusic.com/wedding_kissing.htm - found this and it has some great ideas in case some other brides are wondering about this. |

Wedding Dress
Reason for getting new dress.... I'm 4 months pregnant!
Yep found out in February and we are so excited!!
At first I worried about proceeding with our wedding plans and then I figured with all the efforts I've made so far I wanted to still have our special day as I had planned. Plus I feel we have so much more to celebrate with our new addition arriving in October. So to all those other brides finding themselves in this situation, congratulations and we will look beautiful and glowing!! I'll be 28 weeks when we get married about 7 months so I will have a significant bump. |

Wedding Invitation
Mostly done... need to tweak a few
Well our guest list has gotten crazy. I am trying to convince my groom that we should invite some people just to the dance... I'll try to further convince him this weekend.
Already got one RSVP... hoping to get more soon. I'll try to post pictures some day... they were a lot of work but I love them. |

Does anyone know where I can purchase these signs online?
I saved the picture so long ago that I can't remember where I saw it.
