Ask a Question
Lots of no RSVPs... have enough room to ask those invited to dance only to come to dinner. How do I do this politely without offending?

So our original guest list got out of control because of my FHs last minute add-ons to the list and our parents add-ons. I was super worried about capacity for the dinner but now we have had a lot of declines. As we have the room now and I didn't like the original idea of inviting people only to the dance I would like to invite them to the dinner as well. How do I do this without offending them?

Well, this is a good thing because you have a lot of options. Surprise everyone for dinner and dancing. When you finally know how many people are attending like now, you can flex it your own way and thats good. You'll be saving money and now you can use it where necessary. If your reception was starting in the evening, dinner it is. Most guests would know that it's around dinner time and something would be served etc. For the R.s.v.p's, you can call and let them know there will be dinner/lunch provided. There are alway late r.s.v.p.'ers too. We had people r.sv.p.'ing  until the week of, even though the deadline was weeks before.
