Wedding Invitation
Question! Invitations!
How much did you spend on invitations? How many people are you inviting?
I found these awesome invitations! BUT I'm oblivious to what is expensive and what is not! |

Pefume!
Scents-ible Question...
Have you thought of a specific or significant perfume or spray to wear on the big day?
I want a very elegant, classy wedding (who wants a trashy one? lol) and my brother gave me one of the best gifts I've ever recieved. He recently went on a trip to France, and came back with a gift of Armani Diamonds (which at the time was only exclusive to Paris, France). It smells excellent. I love love LOVE it. I was going to use Fresa perfume which my late grandmother gave to me when I was younger. It smells good but I've kinda grown out of it. I use my Armani Diamonds for special occasions and I think it would mean a lot to him if he notices I used it for one of the most important days of my life. He has been so sweet to me over the past year. We're only 10 months apart, and used to want to kill each other. It's so nice to get along! c: |

Wedding Invitation
What to say?
Since the first thing on my list will be sending invitations, I decided to take the time (while I'm at work of course c:) to try to think of what to say to the invited guests in my invitation. I don't want it blah, blah, blah boring. I want it be obvious that we're excited about the ocassion. Yet to go with the simplicity I want it short and sweet. Here are some ideas I found from offbeatbride.com:
--------------------------------------------------- with joyous hearts we invite you to attend the wedding of ME and HIM date, place, time. food and merriment to follow reception location time -simple... I like the wording... not wordy at all. --------------------------------------------------------- We joyfully invite you to our wedding celebration. On this day we will marry the one we laugh with, live for, dream with, love. Please join Feline and Canine at Time on Date Two thousand and four Place Buffet dinner and dancing to follow. -This one is sweet. It seems whimsical... would go well with my invisioned Damask invititations. ------------------------------------------------ I love how every little detail you can indivualize to your liking... something I never really paid much attention to... afterall I was 12 years old when I attended my cousins wedding (the only wedding I've ever been to). |

Wedding Dress
Perfect!
My mother is an awesome seamstress. She has made everything from Vera Bradley style satchels to my extremely elaborate Renaissance Fair dress for school. My mother has volunteered to make my dress for me! I think it will be great for sentimental reasons AND it will be perfectly sized and made just for me! She told there better be a pretty good gap between the proposal and the actual wedding. That makes me a bit nervous. I see him asking then thinking we'll get married the next week or something. lol
I don't mean to sound pushy, but I hope he asks fairly soon because we've openly discussed Summer 2009 as the perfect time for us to wed and my mother needs at least a couple months or more. But it's not about the dress, or the time, or day. It's about me and him and our love together. I'm not concerned. c: For the wedding I want an extremely simple white or maybe ivory dress. No beading, embroidery or anything. I have this image in my head of a sweetheart chest line and corset back. To add the "Wow" factor I would like to have rhinestone jewelry. I would like to incorporate rhinestones and crystals into the design of the wedding as a whole as well (wedding invitations, cake topper, centerpieces, etc). Of course I can't find the perfect image of my dress online :P |

Ask a Question
How many Bridesmaids/Groomsman?
My FH and I were discussing how big we want our wedding. Pretty small. Not sure number wise at all. My concern at this moment is who to have as my bridesmaids. As sad as it sounds I don't have "girlfriends". I cannot think of a single girl that I can tell my wedding ideas to other than my mom. I have friendly acquaintances but not people I really want to be involved. Haha! I feel like such a hermit but I go to school full-time and am the only girl really in my work group at my job (I'm a DJ on the radio). Not to mention I'm only 20 surrounded by 50 year old men at work. I also work roughly 52 hours a week.
My friends are Zach's friends and we all are very close. Again I'm the only girl. I can think of 3 girls at most I could work up the gumption of asking. One of them is his 14 year old sister (whom I love to death, no problem there). Zach has a min of 6 that he wants. He said he could figure out the 3 he wants eventually. Anyone else have this concern? |

general info.
First Entry
The main thing I want to focus on at the wedding is the togetherness of everyone... bottom line. I will focus on details while planning, but it won't be my top priority the day of. I want it to be an enjoyable event for everyone My someday husband has a cousin in the navy and a best friend serving in Iraq. I want the day of to be a celebration of our love and also the good friends and family we have that support us.
With that being said... The vision of OUR wedding. We both have talked about what we think would represent us. Black and White. It's so elegant and classy. It seems it would be simple to work with the colors. Also I want very few flowers as decorations... We both like the idea of feathers. I love cala lilies. I would like that to be the main flower used in the brides bouquet. I would like to incorporate "damask" details into the design as well. Very slight red details would be pretty. It's seems very jumbled of course right now. I have a long time to decide though. That's what I'm working with... for now c: |
