Wedding Gift Registry
We registered for gifts!

Hello girls!

Yesterday Dan and I went out to start our registries. We decided to go with Macy's and Bed, Bath, & Beyond.

We did Macy's for the plates I really wanted (Fiesta), pots & pans, pyrex, coffee maker, and some smaller stuff.

We did BB&B for small appliances, glasses, towels, bed things, and small stuff.

I know we will have to add more. We have about 70ish items total between both stores. One of the ladies told us that we should have about twice as many things on our list as we have guests. It is hard because we did live in an apartment so we do have quite a few things already. Some stuff we just want better quality items because we have cheap college kid, poor kid items. I do like that we can just go online to both sites and add and delete things as we want. It makes it much easier than having to go into the store every time.

I know we have things we can add. We were so tired after a little while that we just stopped when we were at BB&B (it was our 2nd store) so we will find things to add.

Where have you all registered??

We registered at Bed Bath and Beyond, Carson's, and Target. We also registered for our bedding at JCPenny because we couldn't find any that we liked at the other stores we registered at, but we are only going to tell our close family members about that one.  Someone gave me a good idea when we were registering, because we had the same problem.  They said they just looked at random registries online and it triggered their memory to what they needed to add to theirs.  That helped me too.  Also, when I got home I looked through all the info that they handed out and found a couple other things that way.  If you want to take a look at mine it is Wes Peak and Melissa White.  Have fun with it!!

I registered at Crate & Barrel I love their stuff. But i'm also thinking of doing either Macy's or BB&B.

soonmrspeak ~ we definitely need to look at other registries. And now we have a bunch of lists from the stores and everything so I know we can get enough things on the list. As it is...I was looking at the Macy's website earlier and added about 5 things in 10 minutes. haha. Eventually, we will get it done. Thanks! I will take a peak.

lina15 ~ I love crate & barrel also. And pottery barn. We didn't register at those places though. We didn't want to register at a bunch of different stores and there aren't any of those stores around here. BB&B is a great place to register though, and they are very nice and helpful. :)

So 3 registry's is typical? Is it okay to put bigger ticket items on there as well?

We have 2 and depending on what we decide to do for a honeymoon, we might do a honeymoon registry.
I think it is definitely ok to put big ticket items on there. At Macy's, they gave us a list. We're having about 90 people so they suggest you register for about 150 things (I've also heard to register for twice the amount of guests you're having). It says we should have 65 items that are less than $50, 45 items that are between $51 and $100, 25 items that are between $101 and $150, and 15 items that are more than $151. So I hope that helps!
