Hello girls.
So here is the ceremony.
People started showing up at the tent so I wanted to go wait for the ceremony so everyone wouldn't see me before everything started.
I totally forgot about the bouts and corsages because things were running a little late and they were at the ceremony site already so I didn't see them. They got handed out at the last minute by our officiant. I had boxes with tags on each one but it wasn't a special moment handing them out. When my dad came over to wait with us, he had the corsages for girls just in his hand. Oh well. Just one of those little things. They got handed out and put on, and that is all that matters.
When we got the ok to start, the girls started walking across the beach. My mom, my dad and I followed. It was a little bit of a walk but it worked out well. The girls and I all kicked off our sandals when we got to the sand so we would be barefoot for the ceremony.
I saw Dan at the end of the aisle and it made me even more excited. I couldn't wait to be his wife. And his face showed me that he was just as excited.
Our ceremony was short and sweet. We put it together ourselves so it really meant something to us. And we read our vows off of cards instead of repeating them. And my grandmother did a reading which was so special. She means so much to me and it meant a lot to me to have her up there with us.
Dan whispered to me about putting the ring on the left hand which made me and my MOH laugh. haha.
It was amazing. The words were amazing. The weather was amazing. The scenery was amazing. Having all of our favorite people around was amazing.
I was so excited at the end of the ceremony when we kissed and were announced as husband and wife. It was an amazing feeling that we were finally married, after so long, it had finally happened.
I kind of couldn't believe it was already over.
But I felt anxious leading up to the ceremony and was kind of relieved that it was over and we could just eat and party and have fun. That will be my next post....the details and the reception!
Thanks girls!
ps-I LOVE that you had your grandmother do a reading, that gave me goosebumps! What a moment I know you will both cherish :)
Amanda. We are super in love. And I love couples like that also...like you and Paul.
My grandmother is my hero and one of my favorite people in the whole world. <3
