Hey ladies when do you have your bridal shower and when to register for gifts please help and has anyone ever had there bridal shower and bachlorette party together help?????????
I think showers are typically held 1 to 3 months before the wedding. I think a good rule of thumb is to make sure it isn't too close to the wedding date (because you're bound to be busy and somewhat stressed with last minute wedding details) but to also have it sometime after invitations have been sent out. If you are having a shower and bachelorette party on different days, I've heard your host(s) should plan the shower for sometime before the bachelorette party since fewer people are typically invited to the bachelorette party and you don't want to hurt anyone's feelings.
Personally, I wouldn't recommend doing them the same day if you can help it. When I was MOH for one of my friends, I was so exhausted by the time her shower was over that I didn't even want to stand up! I never realized just how draining a bridal shower could be until that moment! If your girls/hosts are doing all the decorating/setting up on their own and cleaning things up afterwards, there is a good chance they will be fairly tired by the time the shower is over, which makes for a very short bachelorette party.
well my girlfriend actually had her bridal shower the night before the wedding and it was perfect!!! If you plan it out right there should not be much to do the night before the wedding. We had the her shower after we had rehersal dinner in the same place. we had a special section of the restaurant decorated, and just had dessert and played games. It was cheaper on us because we did not have to pay for catering just decor and cake. AND all her most important women were able to attend that were in from out of town, aunts from both sides, parents, sisters, all of that!
I never had one, my sis did not like my theme ("til death do us part" halloween party) so the whole thing was cancelled.
Bachelorette party can be held the same night, look at the way sonlove had her bachelorette party that could have easly been her bridal shower too. I envy that girl :).
wishing you best of luck, p.s. my sister in law had a coed bridal shower, it was great they played newly wed game between their folks, and then they played, we played the toliet paper dress game and the guys were captain (we really wanted to dress the guys but someone said no :(.
I am saying all of that to say, the new tradition is to do whatever your heart feels is right, affordable, and convienent!
