It's been so long!
WOW I haven't been on in a very long time! I've gotten so much planning done! I can't wait it's all coming together. This is going to be a long one so bear with me! :D
So most recently I went to my first dress fitting...It was great! With my fabulous shoes I don't need to shorten the dress at all! Best of all it is only going to be $70 for all of the alterations! How freakin' awesome! and my bridesmaids are only going to be paying about $30 for their alterations! So exciting. I also recently found out that one of my bridesmaids is pregnant! Sooo excited for her!! But, we already have the dresses....so that was a bit of a stress attach, we have to see what we can figure out for here since she will be about 7 months pregnant at the wedding! But still so happy for her! :D I think we are going to go with white accents for the bridemaids...so they will have white shoes and a white flower in their hair. Also a white flower on the dress. We got the cake topper...It's a rhinestoned "D". It is fabulous and it was only $35...Oh how I love etsy. We have the wedding toasting glasses...we went with bear mugs for the guys and wine glasses for the girls we also bought the memorial candle for the special people in our lives that are no longer with us. Also got picture frames for all my girls and flower girls. I love them! We got all of those from Scraps Of Love By Jen on Etsy....Man I love that site!! We just got our wedding invitations today in the mail...it took less than a week. They are from Anns Bargin Bridal.com They are really nice and it was only $201 (including shipping) for 175 invitation. They are the seperate and send type which is nice....can't wait to get those all together!! We found our transportation for the wedding too....it's going to be a Bright green party bus!! How amazing will it look with the bright pink bridesmaids dresses....I can't wait! We are meeting with the caterer Sunday to talk about the menu and all of that and I'm so excited and a few of my girls are coming over to finish up some wedding stuff we still have to scan a ton of pictures to make our slide shows for the reception. Also I have attached some pictures of me and one of my bridesmaids in their dresses and with the flower added....those shoes aren't hers. I have also added a picutre of my wedding shoes...they are amazing and actually very comfortable. |

So we got our engagement pics done today...it was super cold, but I think they are going to be amazing...We should have our pics back by this weekend. My amazing friend came and helped out and also took some sneak peak pics!

Cake,Dresses, and Make-up! :D
Hi ladies!:D So I've been busy planning and figuring stuff out for the wedding! First of all we got some amazing news on our wedding cake. So my FH's family is really good friends with this lady who makes AMAZING cakes and is an amazing cook. So she said she would make our cake for us as our gift!!!! This saves us about $400!!! She is also making our rehearsal dinner!! :D A funny story so we were at her house talking about the cake and I looked at her wall and she had a picture of one of my flower girls hanging up...This flower girl is my dads best friends daughter...Turns out out cake maker is her Great Aunt! Small world huh?! So the decorations I could to look like the first cake with the ribbon wrapped around it with the flowers, but its going to be stacked like the second cake. She is also making a grooms cake that is going to be the Chevy bowtie and shes going to make it look all muddy, which if you knew my FH you would know that is totally him. He loves trailriding and playing in the mud hes a good ol' country boy:D.
Now onto dresses....so my girls and I decided on a dress. It was the original one I loved from the begining. Its very pretty and flattering on all of my girls and best part its only $99!!! So they all loved that. We are adding a flower to them which is an extra $10. The flower is going to be in white to give it a bit of a contrast and its going to be super cute. The color of the dresses are not my color, mine will be in a fushia. We took some pics with me in my dress and them in theirs to make sure it looked good together and I must say I love it:D We also decided to go with a white satin shoe. We were goign to get dyable shoes and dye them the same color as the dress but now that we have the white color I think it will really pop and look cute with the dresses..and since my shoes will be dyed fushia I think it will make for an AMAZING wedding photo:D Make-up....So I had my fabulous gay friend who I love come dress shopping with all of us and since we were all in the wedding mood we decided to play around with some make up because hes doing my make-up for the wedding. So we decided to do half my face one way and the other half another way to figure out which type of look I want. So we had a great time playing with make-up and have decided to go with the make up thats a little lighter and not so dark because it is a summer wedding. Also going to add some big fat fabulous lashes...which I'm kinda nervous of because I've never had them. But he said it will be great. AND I 100% trust him. Which look do you ladies like better? Oh we are doing the lips from the purple look though because they are glossy and I love glossy:) Yesterday was a very very productive wedding planning day and making it all more real! And in other exciting news we are going car shopping today. We have no clue what we want but we are going to go look and hopefully have a new (to us) car by the end of the week:) I'm super excited:D Happy planning!!!! |

Bridesmaids
just a little vent
Sorry ladies this is going to be a long one.....
So most of my girls and I went dress shopping for them...We got the dress picked and deposits down:) YAY! There was a bit of drama before we went shopping. One of my Bridesmaids was unable to attend the shoppping trip. Which would have been fine if she had a legit reason, but she didn't. I sent out an email in JULY telling them what day we were going and to let me know if this didn't work and we could figure something out. Well they all said it worked. Then I was talking to my BM, who is also my SIL and I was telling her about the day and all that and she kept forgetting the date and telling me to keep reminding her what day it was. So I did, we even talked about it a WEEK before and she knew it was on a friday. Well then after I sent out a text 2 days before confirming time and figuring out all of that she replies by saying "ugh...I have to see if I can figure some stuff out" Almost like this was a last minute thing or something and that I was totally interferring with her day. Well then the next night she texts asking how she is getting there because she doesn't drive. Well I figured out a way for her to get there no biggie, then she tells me that she just has a really busy day and it would just be better for her and I to go on a different day because shes just so busy and that she can't be gone all day. Well this didn't just make me upset it really really hurt my feelings. I felt like I have bent over backwards for her on many occassions and more so for her own wedding...her MOH wasn't very involved in helping and I stepped up and helped out and was at her house all the time helping with wedding stuff. I also planned her bachlorette party. Not to mention helping with the bridal shower, the baby shower and my nephews 1st birthday. I was there all the way helping at every second I could. I just feel like now that it has something to do with me and its important to me and the focus is on me she has an attitude about it. Like she seemed very excited and happy and totally into it when we first started wedding stuff. But now she just seems like she doesn't care and doesn't wanna be involved. It really hurts my feelings because I totally thought she'd be one of my best BMs because shes the only one that is married. I guess it really just hurts my feelings. Then when we had the craft day she wasn't very into it and all the other girls noticed that she seemed like she didn't want to be there at all. Its not like she doesn't know my other girls either. Because she does, maybe not best friends with them but well enough. I'm not sure whats going on with her but I just feel like if I say anything to her about it, it will just be more drama and stupidness. Which I don't want. I guess mainly my feelings have been really hurt by her not caring when I've helped her and my brother so much whenever they have needed it. |

DIY Wedding
I've been busy!!
So I had all my girls over today and we were very busy! We were crafting for hours. We started my cardbox, made up all of the vases for the centerpieces and finished up the "I Do" letters. We also started making the squares for under the centerpieces. We made some great progress! All my girls were great help and I'm sooo thankful I have all of them supporting me and helping me with all of this. I plan on putting the "cards" going down the side of the box but I'm waiting till closer to the wedding because I don't want to accidently ruin it if its all put together its easier to store this way.
* Pictures look really purple but its not...its bright pink just bad lighting! :) Grrr photo uploader isn't working and letting me upload pictures...I will work on it and have them working hopefully! |

Bridesmaids
Dresses!
So I have set the date!! To find the perfect bridesmaid dress. It's very hard to pick something that I love and will look good on all of my bridesmaids and I REALLY don't want different dresses I want them all to be the same. My fear is that I'm going to pick a dress that doesn't really match very well with my dress. I like the fun flowy bridesmaid dresses. I want them to be short about knee length or so. The color will ofcourse be bright pink:) I have added some pictures of dresses I like and am considering. I also added a picture of my wedding dress so you can see how it will look next to my dress. Also my bridesmaids are all different sizes and shapes so that is also another challenge I am facing with picking a dress. So all your thoughts and opinons would be appreciated! Thanks:D (sorry pictures of me in my dress isn't the best was taken with cell phone)

DIY Wedding
cake table decorations and unity candles
So I finished up my "I Do" wooden letters for on the cake table they turned out okay but I think I'm going to re-do them because I'm not 100% sure I like the pink color. I'm going to try to get a brighter pink...its a little too purpleish for me. I also got my personalized unity candles in the mail today. It was awesome to open them up and I absolutley LOVE them!! If anyone needs unity candles I HIGHLY recomment Scraps of Love by Jen on Etsy.com....she is AMAZING! And my candle set was only $19 plus tax...way good deal...Love them. She also makes personalized glasses and a bunch of other things.

Wedding Planner
ONE YEAR TO GO!!!
So exactly a year from today I will be marrying my best friend!!!! I'm starting to freak out a little bit! I can't wait to marry him but now its really sinking in I have so much stuff to finish planning and paying for! Weddings are so expensive and thats all I keep thinking about is how are we going to pay for this and still pay for everything we need to build our future. We are trying to get stuff in order to buy a house and we want to be in a house by early next year and on top of that we are paying for the wedding all on our own! A wedding for possibly up to 250 people is not cheap! Its stressing me out!!!! On top of that a lot of other things have been going on in my life that are also very stressful and ugh! Now that the wedding is getting close and my little countdown on the side is now in days and not months I'm FREAKIN!!!! AHHH I know I'll be able to do it all but I will be 100% stressed until a year and a day from now!
