Married
Finally Married!!
We are thrilled to prenounce that we are officialy Mr. and Mrs. Todd Baker! We got hitched on Tuesday February 24th, 2009, in Cocoa, Florida.
The ceremony was a beautiful intimate backyard wedding, we wrote our own vows, and my new father in law married us. We had wonderful photograhers which uploaded a few pictures on Facebook as soon as they got home to give us a taste of what is to come! The pictures are all different sizes since they were uploaded, but we had the traditional wedding style photos, pitcures at the water, and then some more urban photos done! They were definitely the most fun!! We used different wall's, door's, and even a convience store!! Oh and I hope that you can not guess it but I did have food poisoning all day, and had been severally ill all morning, so Gravol and the wonderful girl that did my makeup and hair was a lifesaver!! I will post more pictures as soon as I recieve them! |

Wedding Rings And Jewelry
Our Rings!
So we are getting married in 4 days ahhh!!
We have had our rings for a while now but I decided that I should post them! Our rings do not match but I figured we are not going to normally walk around with our rings side by side, plus he might as well have what he loves. Todd's ring is a bit out of the ordinary, the photos does not give the ring any justice it is really nice! My engagement ring was custom made and so the wedding band also had to be made to match, so the diamonds meet on either side and the diamond size and quality are the same. The second photos is of my engagement ring. |

I got my Bird Cage Veil Today!!
I am so excited! After searching high and low (well at all the local bridal boutiques) I finally found a bird cage veil that I LOVE!!
With only 6 days left until the ceremony portion of our wedding I left finding the veil a bit late, but this one is perfect so it was well worth the wait and anxiety. The 3rd picture is an example of how this particular bird cage veil will sit. My hair will be down however but it is the kind that clips on either side of your head. |

Wedding Dress
Seamstress Appointment Thursday!!
Oh my gosh I can not believe how fast the 'big day' is approaching!
So on Thursday in the morning I am taking my dress to the seamstress! I had to purchase my dress right off the rack since we decided to have the ceremony (destination) a lot sooner then I had anticipated (reception is not until May). Fortunately I fell head over heals in love with my dress and was able to purchase it and even got a discount! There is only a couple of details that I would like changed: - make the zipper into a corset - reception is in May and I would like the dress to still fit if I lose more weight by then, you have just more leeway. - change the current blue sash into a 4 inch black sash - possibly shorten the dress by a couple of inches, since it is a beach ceremony and I will be barefoot. Reception will also just be a flat shoe. |

Wedding Decoration
DIY Pomanders
I have made two out of three silk flower pomanders that will be hanging under the arbour that we will be getting married under, much like my inspiration photo #3)
With all materials included, each pomander cost aprox. $20. I decided since real flower pomanders run anywhere from $50-$80+ depending on the size, that I would make my own. I am really happy actually the way that they turned out! Materials included: Green Styrofoam balls 3 inches Various silk flowers approx. 3 dozen Ribbon Glue gun |

Flower Girl Dress
I finished my daughters flower girl dress last night and I am so pleased with the outcome! I just have to hot glue the Gerbera Daisy to the front and I can check it off my to do list.
I wanted something a bit unusual and flowy. I saw halter tutu's online and I knew that is exactly what I wanted her to wear, but the cost was anywhere from $40-$80 and that did not include shipping, so I decided that I would make my own and I only paid about $20 in total. It was a little time consuming but FH/Daddy helped so it went a lot quicker. I think it will be perfect for pictures on the sand! |

Wedding Dress
My wedding dress!!
So I bought my dress a couple of weeks ago and I am in love with it! The picture is of the dress in pink, but mine is white with a black sash. It is simple but still fancy which is exactly what I was looking for since we are having a small beach wedding.

Feet Jewelery
I am having a beach wedding so I will not be wearing heals/shoes other then flip flops to and from ceremony site, but I wanted to have something beautiful for my feet as well!
I have already bought the feet jewelry that you see in the picture. I am excited about receiving it soon!! Anyone else opted for foot jewelry? Plus the jewelry will be a great summer addition as well!! |

Fascinators
We are having a beach wedding and I wanted to get something that was simple but made a statement. I am not going to have a veil so the fascinator would be in lieu of, my hair will also be down like in the following picture (which I got inspiration from one of the ladies here)
The main picture is the fascinator that I am patiently awaiting to come in the mail!! I am super excited :) |
