Book Reccomendations for Honeymoon
Hey ladies!
Does anyone have any great book recommendations?

I like non-fiction books but wanted to know what everyone's favorite books are. We are going to Costa Rica for 10 days and will be lounging by the pool and beach a lot so there will be LOTS of leisure time for reading!

It's been so long since I've been on here..so busy with work, wedding plans etc, but am happy to be back in the WBC world! Hope everyone is doing well with their planning!

Ask a Question
What are you doing for your Bachelorette Party?
Anyone who has been following my blog knows I already posted on this but I am still so unsure of what I want to do. One of my bridesmaids is throwing me this, and has been asking and asking what I want to do but it will be small because most of my bridal party lives out of town. I'm guessing the party will be around 10 ppl or even less.

I do have a few ideas..wine tasting tour, dinner and nightclub, night in AC,maybe ...I don't know.

I do know that I want to have a "lingerie" shower that same night. so the incite will say "lets shower Michelle with Lingerie on her bachelorette night" but what to do after...

I live an hour away from Manhattan, 1 1/2 from the Hamptons and 4 hours from Atlantic City so the options are ENDLESS....but I don't want it to be too expensive.

What are you doing? What do you want to do? Any really cool, unique ideas that aren't the standard "lets go get smashed at a bar and see strippers" cause that is so NOT me.

Wedding Rings And Jewelry
Jewlery Rentals: Pearls and Diamonds
So the FH and I were talking last night about what kind of jewelry I wanted. I knew he had a Zales credit card from when he bought my ring so I had picked out a few things on the website that I liked...

BUT..he told me not to pick out any jewelry because he was going to surprise me on the day with jewelry that he is going to rent, he said "like the stars do"

I know he is renting from Adorn.com...check it out! They have an AMAZING selection of expensive fine jewelry that you can rent. A few of the necklaces on there are over $10,000..My FH is the best...he truly makes me feel like a princess.

Here's the website if any you girls are interested..I think its a cool idea

Ask a Question
What do you call each other?
Do you ever find it weird if your FH calls you by your real name? I always refer to my FH (real name:Justin) as Jus or "babe" and he does the same for me. Usually when he does use my real name it is talking with other people, trying to get my attention for a second or third time

So I am curious are we just crazy or are there other engaged couples that use nicknames/pet names?

Marriage
Pre-Marital Questions...
So last night the FH and I had our first session with our Pastor. we didn't have to discuss much with her besides ceremony details but she did give us a questionnaire and said to discuss it, that lots of couples don't which ends in divorce. On the way home we pulled it out and started going through the questions here are a few examples...

What do you love about your fiance?
What are your goals in life? (short and long term)
Is there a history of serious illness in his family?
what do you like/dislike about each others families?
what do you do if you cannot agree?
How do each of you handle strong emotions such as anger?
How would you handle end of life decisions/life insurance?
How do you decide on major purchases?
Who will pay the bills/who will be the primary financial provider?
Do either of you have debts that are owed? How much
How do each save/spend? How will this change after marriage?
Will you have joint/separate checking accounts?
What do you expect your living lifestyle to be in 5 years?
how will you split chores?
What foods will you eat, who will purchase groceries?
Do you want pets? what kind? how many?
Do you want children? How many? when?
what would you do if you can't conceive on your own?
How will you discipline them?
What hobbies do you enjoy doing separately, together?
How will personal friendships change after marriage?
How do you feel about alcohol, drugs, and guns in your home?
Where will you spend holidays?

those are just a few (it was a packet of 80 questions) well it took us literally 15 minutes to answer and agree on ALL of them..and it got me thinking, do people REALLY get married without discussing these things about each other? All of the questions were things we had already discussed on our own. Its surprising to me how many people don't talk about these things. It's obvious to me that these are important and should be talked about BEFORE you get married, what if you disgree after? Your already committed!

Sure we love the person we are marrying but we are going to be sharing a LIFE with them..its sooo much more than just love.

I hope all you WBC ladies stay true to the real meaning of why you are getting married and don't get all caught up in the fantasy we are all planning that will only last 8 hours...

Wedding Hair Style
O if for Orchids in my Hair
I have been long absent from the site, finally posted yesterday and today am getting back into my alphabet...

I am only wearing a veil for the ceremony and pics (I am taking it off after so I don't have to be bothered by it at the reception)

I wanted to have something else in my hair, so I decided to make orchid clips. I will have my hairstylist create a style (similar to the pics) and that way when the veil comes off I still have a hair piece...plus the orchids are oh so cute!

Ask a Question
Colored Bridal Shoes..are you a fan?
I have been thinking a lot lately about my wedding shoes and need to make a decision soon before I go in for my fittings. I love the colored shoe trend and found turquoise shoes.

Are you a colored shoe fan? OR do you like the traditional look of a white/ivory shoe?

Do you think colored bridal shoes take away from the dress?

NWR: First Home
We may have found a house!
So anyone keeping up with my blog knows that we have been looking for houses because the FH has to move because of work. We think we found "the one" last weekend. It has a huge yard, newly renovated, 2 car garage, 3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 bath, basement, and a really nice kitchen.

The only think I don't care for is the deck in the front, but we could always paint it, or take it down, or create a center entry.

The property needs LOTS of landscaping so I better learn to garden!

I will keep you girls posted, if we make a decision.
