Wedding Dress
It's finally in!!
I am happy to announce that my dress has FINALLY arrived! I ordered it from a bridal boutique in Charlotte, North Carolina in October. The sample I tried on was in ivory and was a bit too big. Therefore, when I finally went to have my first fitting, I had no idea what to expect!
After squeezing on my new Spanx, I slipped into the dress to find that it was soooooo tight! Fortunately, it zipped pretty easily, and seems to fit perfectly! All it needs now is a minor alternation to the neckline (it's being gathered in the middle to create a sweetheart shape) and the padding sewn in. Take a look, and feel free to let me know what you think (just ignore the hair tie; I didn't have the clip on hand at the time). BTW -- It's by Mikaella Bridal, style number 1414 in champagne. The veil is also by Mikaella. June 19th is steadily approaching; luckily, I only have a few more things to do. Next on my list: finalize the centerpieces and flowers, order china and linens, and find the right shoes! |

Wedding Dress
I bought my dress!
I have finally found and ordered my dress! It is by Mikaella Bridal, style number 1414. It was the first dress I tried on in the boutique, and I knew the moment that I put it on that it was for me! I am ecstatic, and cannot wait until it arrives! Here are a few pictures -- sorry my face is goofy in some of them! :)
I ordered it in champagne, and plan to have the neckline made into a sweetheart. I hate that the picture does not do the back of the gown justice because the buttons are absolutely beautiful! The gown was a little pricey, but we received a 10% discount! I cannot thank my grandmother and mom enough for buying this dress for me! They have truly made my dream come true!!! |

Wedding Dress
Top 3!
This past weekend, I went to try on wedding dresses. It was my first time going to a bridal boutique, but I am almost positive that I have found the perfect dress! I'll put some pictures on here of the three different ones that I loved.
Dress 1: (Pictures 1-3) Essense of Australia D940 in Champagne. It's my favorite! The bodice is awesome, and it made me feel like a princess! Dress 2: (Pictures 4-5) Essense of Australia, don't remember the number, in off-white. Dress 3: (Picture 6) Paloma Blanca 3966. I only have this one picture, but the bottom is beautiful -- it has a lacey train, and it is incredibly lightweight! I'm having such a hard time deciding between the Essense D940 and the Paloma! There is an $850 price difference, so I'm thinking I may just be going with the cheaper one. ;) The sizes on the dresses freaked me out for a minute -- I'm usually a size 4, but a size 8 dress fit me perfectly -- but I found out that wedding dresses are sized completely different. Any feedback on which dress would be greatly appreciated!! :) |

Wedding Rings And Jewelry
We're engaged!! :)
Caleb proposed in October of 2008, the day before my 21st birthday! I'm just now getting into wedding planning since I've been so busy with school, and I figured that since the year countdown has begun, it was time to set up a wedding website! Here are a few pictures of my absolutely GORGEOUS engagement ring! Beautiful, isn't it? ;)
